This came over yesterday morning VERY FAST, heard it got the camera, switched it on pointed it roughly at arms length and clicked (I wasn't even sure it was on), I was lucky to get it (in shot) at all. I am guessing it's a HAL Dhruv, not having seen one before. I can only stress it was going DAMN FAST, far faster than the usual Jetrangers, A109's e.t.c Didn't have a chance to see even the colour (Navy helo's are dark blue, Coast guard are white). Have fun Terry

Hi Terry. Looks like a Bell 222/230/430 to me. A Hal Dhruv is more Lynx like in shape and size. Regards. Ray

Hi Ray Thanks for that, buggered if I have ever noticed the pontoons on the Bell's before, (I know, not much of a spotter :-) ) I guess I just assumed it was military because of lack of colour & speed. Thanks & have fun Terry

Educated (sort of) guess...B430 M-DWSF...Dave Whelans mount, the Wigan owner. It is dark blue and goes like the clappers. Some shots on the View from the cafe site for Gloucester in the Feb collection. Sorry...cant attach a link via the ipad due to ignorance.

Hi Graham Thanks, but I suspect not. If I tell you I am in Goa, they'll have a go at me for keeping on about it. (If it's any consolation, I'm only here to the 16th). When I am back I can start posting a few pics, the internet here is so damn S L O W.(operator is none too fast either). Thanks and have fun Terry

Well.....perhaps it did some air to air refuelling on the way! I wondered why there was no location in your initial post.

Hi Graham I assume air to air refuelling in a helicopter is a more than delicate operation ! I wouldn't like to be on board :-) Have fun Terry
