Thanks, Andover.
I was aware of that and the subsequent one that implied that the FPL had been withdrawn.
However, yet another post has re-instated it (different FPL) - now arriving at 06.25BST
Cheers,
Bob

Morning Chaps,
Can’t confirm the exact arrival time but watched it pinging on the ground at MHZ 06.50 this morning.
Anyone know how long it’s going to be around?
Cheers.

Sorry, Bill, I've only just logged onto the site.
It is still here as at 18.00. I'm not certain if it has gone "tech" or not, as I thought I heard them say something about requiring a part.
By the way, it actually landed at 06.55, but was plotting on ADS-B as "GND" while it was still inbound over Chatteris.
Cheers,
Bob

Unfortunately, there were 7 out in total - 07-0033, 08-0051, 11-0057, 11-0058, 11-0061, 12-0063 and 12-0065.
I think that a couple must have been parked on the new pans round the corner (not visible from John's Field or Pollards Lane). I have put in a request for these.

I'm sorry, Bill, but my source says he cannot remember which ones were round the corner. Hope I didn't get your hopes up too much.
Next time you are up and I'm here, give me some warning and I will make a point of reading them off/finding them out for you on the day.
Cheers,
Bob.

Dean did get some photo’s so as a last resort I’ll see if he has any luck... We did look around for you but most of the caravans on site didn’t look like anyone was at home... Next time I’ll ping you a message. We did speak to a group of guys on chairs, but they said they only took photos and not reggies... We went off to Norwich and Flixton (Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum) And whilst at the latter we saw a Ce404 going past, I switched on FR24 and it was G-MIND, However, at that very moment, and on a converging course, was the USAF Do328 which had departed MHZ... Sadly, none of us got to see it in the sky!!! Would have finished off a perfect day... Cheers, Bob. Bill

This trip is not going too well. I've now been here 25 days and I've only made 17!! Mind you, there have been some very nice pots.

Mildenhall I had given up on the day and gone out for a nice curry. I'd just got back and a surprise turned up. Well, I guessed it was probably coming as it went into St. Johns yesterday evening, but I thought it would be tomorrow.......and I was just about to hit the "Create Post" button when the Typhoon called up,
Arrivals 11.54BST "RCH151" 58-0071 KC-135T 6AMW 20.12BST "RCH1005" 96-8154 EC-130J 193SOS/Pennsylvania ANG 21.58BST "TYPHOO29" ZK380/380 Typhoon......................................................low ILS run.
Departure 08.34BST "RCH665" 62-3554
Lakenheath All four Saudi F-15SAs departed at 07.03BST
A nice end to an otherwise pretty deadly day. The Voyager did a mission with a "QID" and a couple of "STRIX" MC-130Js bashed the circuit endlessly.

Mildenhall We got our first C-5 in today......but the serial was just one out from being very nice for me. A bit more action today.
Arrivals 07.14BST "RCH967" 85-0002 C-5M 436AW 08.35BST "RRR280" ZH868 Hercules BNTW...........to drop off one passenger 12.38BST "RRR280" ZH868 Hercules BNTW...........to pick them up again?? 12.42BST "VALOR11" 84-0085 C-21A 76AS............single ILS run 13.38BST "RCH556" 62-3545 KC-135R 22ARW 14.45BST "RCH149" 83-0079 KC-10A 305AMW
Departures 08.50BST "RRR280" ZH868 10.11BST "TARTN51" ZZ332.........did mission and then returned direct to Brize Norton 11.05BST "RCH151" 58-0071 12.51BST "RRR280" ZH868
Lakenheath The two Pavehawks finally departed today just after 10.00BST
The day wasn't a total write-off as far as the spreadsheets were concerned as "GAF804" 10+24 A310MRTT flew MAM > OTBED and then up North.
To add a civilian note, unusually low descending through 8000ft, "TOM13A" C-FFPH B738 of TUI overflew the bases en route to Norwich from Corfu.

That thing again!!!
Arrival 09.05BST "MAGMA66" 10-3068 C-146A 524SOS
Departure 10.19BST "MAGMA66" 10-3068
There should have been an RC-135V today but it did not appear to depart Souda Bay. Perhaps the thunderstorms all around Malta had something to do with it. The E-3 which was due yesterday went SE over France early this morning and then along the Med (didn't need 78-0578 anyway).

Hi Bill,
I did longer last September/October.
I will be going home on Tuesday/Wednesday next week - just in time for Sabre Strike participants at Fairford (more will be in separate thread).
Quantity of pots has been pathetic, but there are some quality (rare) ones in there. So reasonably satisfied, thank you.
Cheers,
Bob

Monday 28th May 2018 Another inspiring day in the sun (once the mist finally burnt off) up here today...…...not. But it is Bank Holiday, so we were not exactly expecting a deluge of movements.
Lakenheath Departure 10.25BST "SHADO71" 12-5772
Mildenhall Arrival 14.56BST "SHADO71" 12-5772 AC-130J 73SOS
Departure 13.41BST "RCH113" 85-0034
The AC-130J spent its time over Salisbury Plain - live firing?? It took off on Rwy24 and was only just visible through the clearing murk
"QID315" KC-135R 58-0100 did the Madingley Cemetery flypast.
Back to normal tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!
