Wednesday 30th May 2018 And for today's thrilling instalment......
Mildenhall Arrival 15.45BST "WAHOO45" 96-8154 EC-130J 193SOS/Pennsylvania ANG
Departures 08.45BST "COBRA55" 64-14847 17.38BST "WAHOO45" 96-8154
The tankers for the Colorado F-16s (80027 and 23544) went into Prestwick. Quite a shame as 23544 has got rather a nice special tiger scheme. www.flickr.com/photos/klimchuk/41896810052/ (credit klimchuk).
Still, things should look up tomorrow with the A-10s due in.

Mildenhall The annual French D-Day celebrations meant that a CV-22 and both the remaining Michigan A-10s went over to France to participate. The Special Ops boys showed that they don't care about the weather, as it was decidedly misty when they departed. The A-10s decided that they would have a bit of fun at Duxford on the way back and treated them to two low passes before RTB'ing to Mildenhall.

Mildenhall Arrival 10.19BST "PIRATE18" XX337(/CM) Hawk T.1 (100 Sqdn)..........single ILS run.....didn't actually see this as was doing some last minute shopping

And that was it up to the time we left. Back again in a month or so. Apparently Westover-based C-5M 86-0014 diverted in here late afternoon.......I need it!!
It would be difficult to say what the really outstanding highlights were, as there were so many quality aircraft around, but here is a list of what (to me) those were:-
Turkish C-130E in Lakenhearh NC-135W Massachusetts ANG F-15D in Lakenheath........even though I didn't need it!! SOCOM DH-8C The new Moron TDY UC-12W E-11A C-146A Wolfhound..................................................a bit grudgingly as it was one of only two I had already seen - and six years ago at that!! Saudi F-15SAs Pennsylvania ANG EC-130J TDY US Army UC-35B German A400M in Cambridge French A400M in Cambridge AC-130J 1st deployment outside CONUS Michigan ANG A-10Cs California ANG C-130J P-8A TDY C-130H from Ramstein U-28A Alaska ANG HC-130J AC-130W
