Not a good start......
1.) There are two B-1s in Mildenhall - one from Ample Strike last August/September (86-0124 - broken) and one from Sabre Strike this year (86-0134 - on a "gas & go").......doh!!!
2.) The "albino ursine" is weathered in and cancels going to Sywell.......major tragedy!!!

Back to spotting from home after Sywell yesterday. Just 2 for me today, N502DN 350 Delta DL133 AMS-DTW and (at last) OY-RUT Md82 SK503 inbound LHR.
Missed A5-BAB (and A5-BAC a few weeks ago), went past within visual range at FL300 but could not spot it looking into the sun.
(Edit) a late night bonus, VP-BKK 738 Aeroflot was due out at 08.50 on the SU2571 but must have gone tech as it finally departed at 23.10! Luckily I had just switched on FR24 and saw it strobing nicely.

Just one for me today, caught up with G-EZRZ 320 easyJet which I think is based in Edinburgh.
Caught OO-ABB 340 Air Belgium inbound LHR from Charleroi as BA9252, left later on the BA155 to Cairo so assume it is on lease. Unfortunately only a scrape (ex OH-LQC), the one I need is OO-ABA.

Nothing for me today, despite LHR being on 09 all day.
An interesting overflight was A6-FDJ 738 of FlyDubai, FDZ9015 out of Bratislava and currently (20.40) descending into Shannon. This is one of 6 out of the 50 they had then which I did not see when I visited Dubai in 2016. Annoyingly it was too dark as it passed by at FL400 to see frame or trail, but not dark enough to see strobes. Bother!
(Edit) Did manage to break my duck with A7-BET 773 Qatar which has just landed (21.20) on the QR5.

Evening Chaps,
Isn’t it nice to wake up in the morning and a) it’s still light and b) the reasonably good weather is still with us.
Anyway, had arranged to meet a couple of the guys for an 11.00 late breakfast and a bit of spotting...
Before, and after, Fairoaks there was the compulsory spotting from home. OY-JTZ B737 JetTime (OTT) N651BA Gulf 650 (heading towards LTN/STN) G-ESNA Phenom (ditto) 4X-EDE B787-9 El-Al (OTT) Frame N11WM Falcon 200 (ex FAB) OY-NCN Do328 Jet (ex FAB) F-GZTQ B737-7 ASL (OTT) A9C-DHO B767-2F DHL (OTT) Scrap D-AINL A320N Lufthansa (to LHR) Frame EI-IMO A319 Alitalia (to LHR) B-6548 A330 China Southern (to LHR) Frame PP-WSR Gulf 650 (OTT) Frame B-7365 B777 China Eastern (to LHR) Frame
Fairoaks N425DK Ce425 HB-FVA PC-12 2-SALE Twin Star G-YROF Magni Gyro Frame G-FLXI PC-12 Scrape G-MFLT Dauphin Frame There was an SR22 inside the hangars nearest the tower, the side on looked like N174SR, now I’m back home and checked it, it’s wrong... Anyone got any ideas? It had a red and white scheme.
Cheers boys.

Was monitoring SU2571 VQ-BSL 320 due off the stand at 08.55, switched on FR24 at 09.00 to find it was already over Essex! These 320 with Sharklets are rare, really annoyed!

Just as well the B-52 mission from Fairford was cancelled today, as the one I needed was supposed to be doing it!!
So I popped up there for 61-0015/LA.
Saw the trailing "RCH211" C-17A 02-1109 but didn't need it.
