The following NOTAM for opening hours has been published
U3686/19 - FAIRFORD MIL ATZ ACTIVE, AD, RWY 09/27 OPEN. 26 AUG 13:45 2019 UNTIL 26 AUG 23:45 2019. CREATED: 26 AUG 06:39 2019

Open from 14:45BST until 00:45BST (27th)
A suggestion on FC is that it is for B-2s, possibly doing a gas & go. The reason for the long window has been suggested as being in case the mission is cut short and they arrive early.

It also did the fly-by at RIAT2018 on the Saturday, was on deployment to Fairford in June 2017, and visited Fairford in June 2015 on a GP mission (was "tech" for a few days).
82-1071 did a GP mission to Wainfleet Range on 15/12/2005 as "SPIRIT14".

Bob. A big thanks to you (and FC) for keeping us all up to date on the situation at Fairford. I popped over this morning around 1015 and sure enough, all 3 B2's were outside basking in the sunshine. Plenty of photographers with ladders were present. Cheers Keith

Thank you, Keith. It is no problem at all.
"MYTEE51" B-52H 60-0002/LA departed for Barksdale AFB, LA at about 13:00BST. It routed down TR1 towards Yeovilton, coming out of the clouds when just S of Melksham, and visible to me at 13:07BST
"MYTEE11" flight of two B-2s departed at around 13:10BST on a mission, routing up over Marham (at 13:27BST). Apparently they are supposed to RV with "GHOST" flight (RAF F-35s) over MAM at 14:15BST. Circled over Norwich three times before heading back to MAM to join with 2x F-35s and Hawk XX198 (photo ship?).
16:50BST B-2s currently routing Leuchars - AARA1 to refuel with "QID724" 60-0355 - Kirkwall - Orkney - Benbecula - Glasgow and back to Fairford.

A post on FC at 12:53BST said that the B-2 was being hangared at that time. So, that is it for the weekend!!
Bearing in mind that Monday (2nd September) is the US Labor Day holiday, it is a moot point as to whether we will see any more flying from them until Tuesday.
Time will tell.

Drove past the field on the Kempsford Road at 1300 BST today to see two C-5s parked and at least two B-2s outside. Hard to see much as there must have been a thousand spotters lining the fence
