Poor pickings yesterday. Just one bizz into Biggin Hill. Didn’t need the China Southern, having seen all their 380s in Sydney. Hoping for the Singapore 350 on departure this morning if it follows usual path and this mist burns off. China Southern is the only airline that I haven't seen an A380 of,but they are due to be common in Heathrow so that should change.

A bit fat zero here in Wiltshire for me since Wednesday, despite clear skies on Wed & Thu, rain set in yesterday and continues this morning.

So frustrating. Just heard the Singapore A350 go overhead, but like the CIA C130 earlier in the week, cloudbase was too low to see.

Definately a case of what you cant see today despite the clear blue sky - Saw the IL76's but missed N879EB PC12 which had come over the pond from Cincinnati via Wick heading south over france no doubt for switzerland, SP-EMA PC12 heading westbound and D-GELR DA42 both ways to and from cork! Just waiting for the Silkway 747 nearing the irish coast eastbound 18.50.

Really good day. Made both Il76s, A319 VP-CYF trailing northbound over Essex, A300 TC-MCC coasting across North London en route to Luton, and a selection of biz, starting with early morning arrivals at Biggin Hill, N19NE Falcon 7X and N474CG Cirrusjet.

JAL43/44 today is JA877J. If only Heathrow was on 27s! It also took a far more northerly routing around London than usual for 09s, so no chance of catching this on arrival. Very slight chance of seeing it on departure this evening?

Logging continues to be quality rather than quantity. Yesterday included Turkish 737 TC-JHB at fl400, not trailing, but still visible courtesy of the red tail overhead London en route to Dublin. Then Singapore A350 9V-SMN on departure from LHR, gap filling Emirates 777 A6- EPM inbound LHR, and then pleasingly on JAL44 JA877J. Having seen several in Sydney, this was my first JAL 787-9 of those currently being sent to LHR.

This morning I saw and needed Ethiopian 737 ET-AQO. This afternoon saw N599FE MD11 OTT filling a gap, and Legacy G-ERFX into Biggin Hill. Highlight of this evening was C130J doing 2 low approaches to Biggin, rather than the 4 touch and goes predicted by Andy P, but still a great sight in the fading light, and rare enough here in civvy territory.
