Would love to have seen the two HC-130Js (more or less OTT me), but it was far too damp here in Wiltshire.

They were quite close together and the sound was incredible, both were intermittently trailing which allowed me to spot them, sorry you missed them rh226.

I expected a blank day Saturday, with low cloud and heavy rain interrupted only by light rain, but was pleased the cloud lifted high enough to make 2 into Heathrow after they switched to 27s. Alitalia sent E175 EI-RDN and Saudia used 787 HZ-AR25.

A late night decision to go see the MOs at Lakenheath resulted in a early morning departure from Farn with FX from here to get to Lakenheath by 8am, a full house on the MOs and a few more LN F15s being logged. 2 C17s also arr but only one was needed. An early morning start from me too to see the four "MO"s that I needed (as stated in another thread). Didn't need anything at the 'Hall.

And an early one for me too! A very quick stop at Stansted en route made 9H-QDC Ryanair and VT-RBA Legacy.
Then made 4 of the 18 MO F-15s at Lakenheath and the 2 C-17s. I also found the Spitfire Replica in the heritage park which I’d never seen before, as well as the F-15 ( not needed). Couldn’t see the other two aircraft there(F-4 and F-111) but not needed. Sadly, still didn’t see my last LN F-15.
Mildenhall- Made 2 C-130s (including last based C-130) and one of the three KC-10s
Then spent some time at LHR before heading home and made 15 there, including the recently delivered G-XWBG.
EDIT- just the one new C-130 at Mildenhall as it turns out. Had seen 05-8156 at Berlin in 2006!

Afternoon folks.
Well nothing to report for October 2nd & 3rd due weather but things pick-up from the 4th... Met up with Deano, Kevin and Mark for our little jaunt to Hamburg...
Heathrow; Nothing potted but our chariot to Hamburg was; G-EUOF A319 British Airways... Which is worthy of some comments, all positive.
Firstly, Heathrow only allow passengers inside the terminal, so the space for those travelling is much better.
Secondly, BA, to their credit, have simplified their onboard service. No more M&S food - a bag of crisps & pretzels plus a bottle of water - all complimentary. For a 1 hour 20 minute service, just right...
Thirdly, BA now ‘load and de-plane’ strictly by seat row... Well that’s the theory. Of course, there are those passengers who simply don’t listen and get up regardless. However, the crew were very good and as soon as those from un-called rows vacated their seats, the crews were all over them, like a rash... So all credit to BA, trying their upmost to keep their customers safe.

If anyone has done the ‘Airbus’ tour trip to Finkenwerden you’ll appreciate the traffic going through the tunnel, well Sunday lunchtime was a complete disaster... Nevertheless we did eventually get through and on our way to Wunstorf. We were supposed to go to Hannover first but due to the delays we ruled that out... But Wunstorf was well worth it...

Downtown Bremen is a lovely little city. Centre has loads of history, some fantastic buildings and we found a great little beer Keller which served some brilliant filet steaks...
