Somehow, despite the lockdown and everything else, we are a third of the way through 2021 already. My local pub opened on Thursday evening so I'm off for a few pints this evening, albeit sat outside freezing my gentleman's bits off. Fingers crossed for clear skies and decent weather as far as our hobby's concerned.

May started off quite well on Saturday with wall to wall blue skies over my Gaff- then around 11am the clouds rolled in and that was about it really, so a bit of gardening was completed, but two did enter the book prior to the clouds arrival, both inbound Dublin:- EC-NHM- A330 Wamos I-ADJV- E195 Air Dolomiti ops for DLH Happy days Bob

The weather always makes a liar out of you- at 18:45 seen heading west through a nice patch of blue sky was Air Serbia's latest steed A330 YU-ARB (Ex Aeroflot VP-BLY 973) on it's way to JFK. Happy Days Bob

Congratulations on the granddaughter; somehow a grandfather / granddaughter relationship is extra special. Have you decided how you want to be known? I decided on Pops, and that is really easy for them to learn and pronounce.

Managed to see - and make - all six USMC F-35Bs that came over the house en route to the QNLZ .......serials posted in the "Queen Elizabeth" thread.
Sadly I missed the 4x RAF ones - all of which I needed (all from the last delivery) - as a friend popped in for a (legally allowed) visit.
Mustn't be greedy though.

Morning Dave, weather here is quite decent, rather different from the forecast of high winds and heavy rain, so "might" get a chance to see the two Indian AF C-17's, both of which I need

Evening all
Today after over a year i have travelled for a meeting in Scotland, instead of flying from Southampton as i would have done in the past i went up by car. What really hit home with me was how Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow airports must be suffering. Yes i have read about it but until you see it first hand its so surreal.
Only one frame was seen ZZ178 C-17 RAF which was low level near Abingdon.
Prestwick tomorrow after my meeting

Thursday and half decent in work (always is!!!) then after my beloved picked me up- at 12 and I got home for our dinner, hoping for a bit of spotting and sod's law the clouds and rain and hailstones turned up- and as you know when this happens, there will always be something you need going over the top- but a Moses moment happened for a few minutes and a blue patch appeared and going through same heading south east was Waterford based Beech 200GT M-DAWN which was nice and got me to double figures for May. Then it clouded over again. But on a brighter note after voting my Nikon 10 x 42 Aculon Binoculars arrived which I purchased from Amazon with some more of my birthday vouchers- and what a lovely acquisition they are, apart from having to have a City and Guilds to get the strap on- but well pleased with them. Happy days Bob
