Bob, there's still a part of me that misses the annual marking up of the various spotters' books albeit it was always a bit of a labour of love. I certainly never regret moving across to a digital logging system four years ago with all the benefits that gives at the press of a button. As with many of the lads on here, I started off as a train enthusiast back in the mists of time and I do sometimes wonder if there are similar digital offerings for those spotters in this day and age.

Graham, I know what you mean, I sometimes wonder if I am doing the right thing doing all the underlining especially when you have copius amounts of registrations, but it keeps my mind active- and I do like the books. I spend an hour most nights when it gets dark marking in. As far as the trains are concerned I would not be surprised if there are various websites on the net- albeit I have not had a look for them, I know the lorry spotters have one. On that note I'm going to start marking in again- tonight starting at Fed X. Only another 106 pages to go. Happy Days Bob

Another good day from home, the Colombian 737 turned ESE but was clearly visible with a long trail as she passed across to my south over Salisbury. I haven't checked yet but I'm pretty sure this has to be the best start to a year since I started full time spotting again in 2013.

Three in the book for yesterday morning before heading off to darts practice:
OE-LPF B777 Austrian (CUN-VIE,been after this for a while as a frame as it was the only Aero Mexico one I hadn't seen) S5-CES Cessna 525B Citationjet 3 LX-AND Pilatus PC24
Graham, until the pandemic came along January was always a good month for me as it meant spending 3-4 days in Zurich for the World Economic Forum held in Davos,so taking that event out of the equation, this has been the best start for a year for a long, long time.

The Royals are @ home this afternoon to Coventry City and a full house is expected (I will believe that if it happens) as it's the game that celebrates us being a footie club for 150 years.Good luck to Everton as well mate.

Nil return for me yesterday Dave, but your three made it a 3-0 victory for you over me- the same as the mighty blues score against Leeds at Goodison. Sunday is grim again up here in Cheshire, and is supposed to be getting grimmer later on- so it will be back to marking in my Airliners of the World book. Happy Days Bob

Weather this morning is grim and like you it's due to get worse,as I write the wind is already getting up with heavy rain forecast, back to getting my books & logs upto date as well. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Just one frame for me yesterday before the weather closed in. Missed KC-135 63-8032 which was way above the cloud. We were rudely awoken at 11.30pm having gone to bed an hour earlier by the racket of two B-52s departing Fairford and going across just to the west of us here according to VR replay, one at FL080 and the other at FL110 13 Feb 2022 Devizes Sunday A7-CGL Gulfstream G650 ER 6469 Qatar Executive Screenshot (27) by Graham Brown, on Flickr

Before heading out to golf this morning, I was happy with 4.
OE-LSK A320n not trailing but glinted in the sun. G-UZMH A320 heading north out of Gatwick EC-MOU a330 of Level operating an Iberia flight into LHR CT-03 A400 on short trail over Essex.
I would have made a second Level this afternoon had the clouds not rolled in.
