Just two today so far:
OY-EJD Falcon 7X (inbound Farnborough early this morning) A6-APB A380 Etihad (inbound Heathrow on first visit)
Special thanks to Heathrow ATC for the A380,it was coming in on the north side and then they shifted it to the south side which enable me to see it from my house as it turned onto finals.

Evening. At the bottom of the events list it states £7.00 for Adults, £5.00 for OAPs and children under 12 free. In Wednesday's edition of the Basingstoke Gazette,it states that the gates open at 10 am,in the past I've always found that they are open by 9 am at the latest, they know that us enthusiasts want to get round the static and aircraft parking areas before the expected rush starts (weather permitting of course).

Mainly cloudy here so no OTT. Was out most of the day so missed the Etihad A380 but got off the mark for the month with TC-JOF A330 inbound LHR 09.
Should be at Popham around 9.30 tomorrow.

Jeff
No carnations, but if you look back thru the April thread you will find several of us have described what we will be wearing. No doubt there will be others in the same gear, so plenty of opportunity for confusion and embarrassment!

Popham's Facebook page onfirms that "official" opening is indeed 10am but that they will allow entry earier than that. Wish I could go today, weather looks miles better than tomorrow's but too much to do today. As for "how to recognise forum members", could be difficult as everyone will be dressed in wellies, waterproof coats and hats...;0)

After returning from Popham on Saturday made OE-LGP DHC8-400 operating for Swiss on LHR 09 approach, my 300th frame of the year. Blank day yesterday, have just made VP-BID A320 Aeroflot on LHR 27 departure, not sure whether this is a rare visitor or whether I am just slack!

Mentioned VP-BID A320 of Aeroflot earlier - looks like I was indeed slack! This is the last (c/n 5421) of their 42 configured C20Y120 which are used on international routes (have now seen all of them). Their most recent 21, all but one of which I need, are configured C8Y150 and are used primarily on domestic routes, though I did see one in LHR last year.

Plenty of cloud scudding across blue sky this morning and no trails, but have made 2 - EI-FIJ Ryanair's latest routin DUB-Memmingen (still need FIH, does FII exist?) and TF-DAD A321 of WOW routing KEF-CDG.

Anyone know why N1605 767 operating DL30 ATL-LHR is using the emergency squawk 7700 and after making an approach to LHR has diverted to STN?

Post by graham on May 6, 2015 11:35:42 GMT
Had a Google and a good look round a a few other aviation forums Jerry and whilst most report it, there appears to be no reason as to the diversion. EI-FIJ just gone OTT Swindon on her way back to Dublin

I heard the pilots were having problems with the tail rudder, LHR was suffering crosswind landings yet STN runway was straight into the wind

Blank day yesterday and 100% cloud cover this morning so no OTT, but just made VP-BDN my last Aeroflot A319 on LHR 09 approach. Going out shortly so don't expect any more today.
