hi. last years RIAT 22 I visited on the friday, and tried 2 or 3 booths for a RIAT spotters list, and was told non were published, luckly i found someone who did a daily log of visitors for the show and support a/c, can anyone tell me where i got it from?\ I've tried on my saved files, but cannot find it, and as i've said with no offical list, the log was invaluable... regards dave...

We asked and were told they don't produce them till the Saturday when everything is on site..... Reason being, and I quote, 'spotters are a funny bunch and don't like lists of stuff that isn't there!!

During my time 'working' at the FIAT enclosure we were just about all BARG members and BARG produced the list after the last arrival on the Friday . A night of printing ! Some of the team sold the lists from various locations and had an up date board where additions were added . These were from sightings by the team and public . This seemed to have stopped when BARG were no longer required and another group took over ( Cirencester Groupe I think ) . AND , Yes , spotters are a funny bunch - it would be a very dull world if we were not !!! It is just the others who are not funny ... Enjoy the week end . Chrisj

I've been watching it all day Jeff - and it's on all day for free tomorrow too. Just watched the Saudi Hawks and they've clearly polished up their act over the years to the extent that, apart from the smoke, they pretty much resemble the Red Arrows!

Many thanks to 'rugbyref' for his very useful list for Sunday . I hope he does not mind (?) , but I used it as the base for making my own list . I also used the daily logs from Threshold and my own log plus photos . Still a work in progress but I have a few questions which others may be able to help with . The Italian C27J I have CSX82219 others have CSX62219 , I feel it should be 6 in place of my 8 . Likewise the Dornier 228 MM62159 on my note but 62157 on other's . Somewhere I have a Typhoon coded 61-23 but can not find where ! Threshold have N617KH SR22T arriving earlier but not departing ! Likewise for ZK383 Typhoon and G-CBGZ Gazelle . I seem to have notes for too many Belgian F16s with FA68 , 86 , 87 and 95 noted at various locations/lists . ZJ131 Merlin HC4 arrived Friday but not found departure yet . List has Dutch CH47 D-693 my photo shows D-603 . I take it that Polish CASA C295 026 was Northside ? On the list Sweedish SK60s 60062 and 60105 are given but the flyer on Sunday was 60125 ( was 60105 a miss pole ?) . Thanks again and any light thrown on the above most welcome . Chrisj

Hi Chris. The C27 was indeed the old regular (since Farnborough 2008 at least) 62219, the Dornier was 62157 (the batch ends at 62158) and the Chinook was indeed D603. The Cirrus, Gazelle and Typhoon you mention all left on Monday (the day I was there - photos to follow). Belgian F16 FA86 was not there, its a misprint/pole on the list and was actually FA68. You're also right about the flying SK60 which was indeed 60125 (though 60105 was also there). Your Typhoon 60-23 was almost certainly MM55224 61-23 which was there. Not having been there on Sunday I'm afraid I cant answer your question on the Polish CASA or what was northside that day but hope this small bit helps.
