Out most of the day, got home just in time to make OD-MEE A330 on LHR departure, its first commercial flight (delivered on Wednesday). Hoping for JA738J 777 which is in LHR at present, a big gap-filler which I have been chasing for ages.
Yesterday was not too bad either, caught up with 777s F-GZNS and TC-LJG and made HZ-AIY descending towards Kemble, my last Saudia 744.

Drove up to Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon for a company meeting on Thu. As usual, we were very close to BHX and with the help of FR24 and Plane Plotter mobile, I made 11 on Wed, 20 on Thu and four this morning prior to driving home. Best of the lot were three good A6 hole fillers in the way of A6-ENB, ETA & EBS, an Air India 788 VT-ANE, my final Atlantic frame B737 G-JMCR and PIA B777 AP-BGJ. With our firm's meetings now becoming more regular, BHX is providing me with plenty of pots and other than what I see from home here, is my biggest source of new frames this year so far.

Too hazy to see JA738J on LHR departure, but did make LHR arrivals G-VMAP 789 on the VS301 from Delhi and EC-MJR A321 on the VY7842 from Barcelona. Also a scrape LZ-AWA A330 out of BHX (seen as HB-IQE with Swissair).

Lucky me, after potting EI-FRP earlier, FRO went over late this afternoon routing CGN-DUB so back to a full score for Ryan's just now

Graham, you're well ahead of me on Ryanair, did make EI-FOM this evening inbound STN but still need at least 15!
Unusually the SU263 into LHR this evening is a 777 VP-BGB which I need, due out at 22.15 as SU2575, but very hazy, will be lucky to see it.
(edit) As expected, missed VP-BGB, turned north too soon to come into my window of opportunity. But an unexpected double whammy (OK, strobes only), VP-BBS 787 of Azerbaijan on the AHY8 out of LHR (didn't realise they were using 787s) and sister ship VP-BBR just went overhead on the AHY102 routing JFK-Baku, conveniently appearing in a small break in the clouds!

Graham Ryanair new aircraft. EI-FRR, EI-FRS and EI-FRT have been delivered this week. So you have three more to look for. Les

Thanks Les, I guessed there would be some more along pretty rapidly. Seems that once in service, Ryanair give them a few local runs to BHX and then often to Cologne or Beauvais so they should come my way fairly quickly

Cloud just beginning to break after a dull morning.
New Air Canada 789 arrived in LHR this morning on the AC850 and is due out at 13.15 on the AC851 to Calgary. Reported on FR24 as C-FPQB c/n 35270 line 425, but the Puget Sound site has this as C-FGHO (see entry for 7 May). Can anyone clarify?

Hi Jerry, checked just now on the "last 100 LHR arrivals" and AC850 just sneaked in there as landing at approx. 10.15. Although it gives no reg it does give hex as C0293E which is C-FPQB which GAS confirms as c/n 35270 ( and hex too). I'll check her departure on Plane Plotter and see what shows

Mmmmm, have just put the other reg C-FGHO into GAS and it comes back with a different hex C0109D but same c/n 35270

OK, checked the production lists on Planespotters.net and they agree that c/n 35270 is C-FPQB. It also says that AC have just two further on order, FGHZ c/n 37169 and FKSV c/n 37170. No mention of a FGHO anywhere.
EDIT - PLANE PLOTTER showing C-FPQB pinging on taxiway to dep now at 1340

Saw the Air Canada on departure, will assume it was C-FPQB! Also made JA738J 777 which I missed earlier in the week, but nothing else - very hazy, could hardly see stuff going right overhead!

Spent 2 hours yesterday on the M25 circular car park. The only good news is that I have just used the FR24 playback and discovered that the Air Canada B787-9 that arrived on the AC850 while I was crawling past was the new C-FPQB.

Dull here all day until dusk, sky now clearing, a couple of Norwegian 738 frames in the last few minutes heading south-west, EI-FHM and EI-FJL. Guess that's it for today.
