Hi Bob - Sadly 86-0139 also doesn't do anything for me. Ironically I photographed her sitting together with 85-0083 at Nellis in 2014 and both are now at Fairford!

Those two are nothing to do with the UK - merely a coincidence.
"MYTEE21/22" due to depart Whiteman AFB at 19.10BST for the trip across the pond to Fairford.....credit FC.
According to a post on FC, anyone living near a certain range by The Wash (presumably Holbeach) is advised to get up early!!!

Friday 9th June 2017
Today's the "big" day.
"MYTEE21/22" 2 x B-2As are due in early morning. FC quote an arrival time of 09.56BST quoted, but don't hold me to that.
I have absolutely no idea of routing.
Also, I would guess that they will be hangared until before a mission.

May be wrong but I seem to recall that a couple of years ago on BALTOPS they just came in for a crew change and didn't even shut down. The relief crew could have come on the transport which arrived earlier this week from Whiteman? If so a fairly quick in and out might be likely.

Also seen an estimated arrival time of 09.18BST that has now been quoted on FC by another source.
I'm going to go up there for this one. We shall see what gives.

Where are you going to be, Mark? 27 end or North crash gate? Marston Meysey crash gate would not be that good for photography as I assume they will go Northside.
Leaving home around 07.45 and should make it by 09.00 (I hope) - depending on traffic in Calne and Royal Wootton Basset.

Definitely 27 end Bob, it's the only place for me as I want landing shots. The last time I was up there for B2s they back tracked the full length of the runway and came off at the 27 threshold to taxi to the hangars. Cheers Mark

Left home at 07.45 and had a good run up to Fairford arriving about 08.50.
Only trouble was the B-2s were running late and then stayed on Holbeach range for a lot longer than anticipated. Anyway.......
Arr 11.20 "MYTEE21" 82-1068/WM B-2A 13BS/509BW......................."Spirit of New York"..............which was one of the 4, two years ago in June (one of the 1st two - the one that went "tech") Arr 11.23 "MYTEE22" 88-0329/WM B-2A 13BS/509BW...."131 BW"......"Spirit of Missouri"................which was one of the 4, two years ago in June (the other one of the 1st two)
Good to catch up with Mark ("bizfreeq") and Paul again. Hope you have a safe journey back, lads.

Actually, a quick search in FC shows that 82-1068 was the other one of the 1st two in June 2015. It went "tech" and stayed a few days. Previous post now amended.
Worth pointing out, though, is that the 2015 visits were actually Global Power missions and had nothing to do with BALTOPS/Sabre Strike that year. They were merely taking advantage of the fact that Fairford was open.

Get up there tomorrow morning then - early. There is a possibility that one (or both) B-2(s) may be returning tomorrow. If so, departure may be as late as about 12.00BST, but could well be (much) earlier.
Following NOTAM may be relevant:-
G0241/17 - AIRSPACE RESERVATION TR1:FL260 FL280 MIMKU MOGLO ETARI 5600N 02000W 5530N 02500W 5500N 03000W TR2:FL270 5500N 03000W 5430N 03000W 5500N 02500W 5500N 02000W RESNO NETKI KUGUR THE FOLLOWING SEPARATION WILL BE PROVIDED WITHIN OCEANIC AIRSPACE: MNPS 60NM, NON-MNPS 120NM. FL260 - FL280, 10 JUN 12:37 2017 UNTIL 10 JUN 17:42 2017. CREATED: 09 JUN 15:08 2017 +1hr for BST
It is that high block level (FL260-FL280) that is suspicious, and may well be indicative of B-2s.
TR2 is merely tankers returning to Mildenhall.

TASS June 6, 2017 MOSCOW — Russia’s Sukhoi-27 fighter jet has intercepted and escorted a U.S. B-52 bomber, which was flying along Russia’s border over the Baltic Sea, the Defense Ministry has told the media. “On June 6 Russia’s airspace monitoring means at 10:00 Moscow time identified an air target flying along Russia’s state border over the international waters of the Baltic Sea. A Sukhoi-27 fighter jet of the Baltic Sea Fleet’s air defense force was dispatched to intercept the target,” the statement runs. “The crew of Russia’s Sukhoi-27 jet approached the aircraft staying at a safe distance, identified it as a U.S. strategic bomber B-52 and escorted it for some time,” the Defense Ministry said. Pictures released by the dept of defence of the interception

Apparently, this NOTAM is for the "OH" F-16s going home from Kecskemet AB, Hungary to Toledo, OH......credit FC.
One B-2 dragged out this morning, started engines.........and shut down again, attended by fire trucks.
