Spent much of the day with me old Mom while she had her cataracts sorted, not easy at 90 but she's been a trooper. Not that I missed much due to the blanket of cloud that hasn't shifted all day apart from an odd cloud break.
Just two adds then:

Had a drive around today, mainly with the aim of catching the B1 I needed at Fairford.
I started at Popham, to see the Irish PA-28 mentioned in the Popham thread. Thanks for the heads up. Then Membury- nothing of interest. Then Fairford for the B1(couldn't get out early enough to catch the other I would have needed.) Next was Kemble for Z-FJE plus a couple of GA. Then Brize where I made my 2 earliest A.400s. There were a few others out, but couldn't read many. Next was Kidlington where I made 2-MATO and maybe a couple of others (OO-SFA,OO-SFI) Then Booker where I made 5 G-. (Didn't make it to aeroexpo this year!) Then Northolt- possibly 1 or 2 new biz there. LastlyHeathrow T5, for my flight to Paris. Made a quickfire 29 there!

It was looking good for 30 at one stage today (17 June), but then life got in the way, so more than happy with this haul. I'm quite blessed in my South Staffs location, however there is southern traffic I never see such as some of the G-VII* reg BA 777s that don't seem to come out this way.

I saw the Ethiopian on radar and was ready to look for it, as I had a good view to that routing, then got distracted and missed it. Well, it's important to have perspective on these things, sure it'll come round again! Enjoy your day Bob.

Well, USAF overflights have finally decided to grace my area of vision again, although a lack of trails and general haziness made spotting them a bit difficult.
Made a Westbound C-5M routing MAM > EXMOR and an Eastbound C-17A (my last McGuire based one) routing MERLY > CDF > REDFA.

Then a couple of hours at CDG in the evening made another 20 new. So just short of 100 for the day! Off to the show tomorrow, then flying home in the evening. cheers

Bright and clear early, but soon became very hazy with limited trails. LHR on 09, but little of interest until this evening with B-8969 330 on the CA855 PEK-LHR (missed SE-ROB 320neo SAS earlier). Another 330 frame was LN-RKN on the SK953 CPH-MIA, and one more, N3CP Gulf 650 heading west at FL410.
