Clear blue all round down south, and like most sundays no ones up except me :-) Well that scuppered it, full cloud here now :-( Yes,really cloudy now, guess that means that I'll have to do some housework now as SWMBO is at work.

Looks like the lawn mower could see the light of day today...that will involve lots of rude words trying to get the damn thing started!

Good news, not only did the lawn mower start on the second pull, the skies cleared enough to put two in the book.

Hi Dave. Think your GL5T could be N352AF, checked back through my radar log and seemed to be about the same time as your EZOC
Hope this helps.

Morning Bob, started clear here for a bit but has filled in a bit although forecast is to brighten up. I have a two day meeting in London on Wed/Thu pretty much under LCY approach so hoping to sneak a few in there.
Decent day yesterday, potted eight including a late flurry of biz jets

Was clear when i woke up, by the time i have set up outside with a cuppa it wasnt :-( still One RYR in the book
I managed to count up how many active G- jet airliners i need , came back as an eye watering 300 !?!?!! Mostly EZY, I'm now getting grief from bill Samuels about it, so I'm aiming to whittle that down to well under 100 by summers end !! :-)

Post by graham on Mar 9, 2015 13:18:34 GMT
Are they spread across lots of fleets Jeff? Of the major ones, I still need 8 BA, 16 Ezy, 4 Thos Cook, 1 Thomson, 8 Flybe, 3 W Atlantic and 2 Jet 2.
Funnily enough I was checking out some still needed Ryans yesterday and a few have been sold off since I last checked, DLL, DLM & DPE

There everywhere mate.... Even need G VFIZ according to my database!!! Even though ive been on it more times than i can remember!! i really must write more down even when i don't think I need them .... Lol, i blame the demise of spotting books and the rise of internet based spotting tools, i don't think I've flicked through a fully up to date CAM or the like for 10 years or more, if I had I would of noticed the gaps

I'm guessing you use plane base? I downloaded the programme about two years ago but the thought of putting every aircraft I've ever seen onto it was just too daunting a prospect. I'm still using my 2013 CAM, it's falling to bits and I did buy the 2014 edition this time last year but have never gotten around to tranferring everything into it.

if you logs are in exel or similar Ask they guys at planebase nicely and they will put all your sightings in to the progam with the push of a button :-) and yes my 2014 is still sitting on thr shelf untouched !!

Not much doing today due to awful weather, but did end up making two before the clouds descended.
62-3578 KC135 went straight over the house trailing early C-GDPG GL5T
Was working in and around Cirencester so popped down to Kemble, potted nothing but took a few shots of the scrapping area where various frames have moved around a bit. Photos on Kemble sub forum.

Quite a few in the book today, it's been beautiful and clear all day. Gulf6 N652CH just gone straight over the house, got a decent shot of her too. In fact, a real biz jet bonanza this past ten minutes, five have gone over of which four are pots.

No spotting Im afraid, the age of the Computer !!
We Just recently had an all singing all dancing phone system installed at work, its PC based and I believe designed for a call centre. the theory behind it is that the phone knows when your sitting at the PC either by mouse moves or keystrokes, if there is no activity within 2 mins the system logs you as offline and any incoming calls will bounce around any other phones that are online in the office. You cant intercept a call if its ringing on a desk next to you you have to wait for it to bounce round to your phone....so you get the idea its not very customer friendly... So this morning we all come into work and none of the phones will log in...great, we cant call anyone as the phones wont log in....no one can call us as the phones wont log in !! a swift email to IT support in India recieved a reply...eventually.....
Dear **** Thank you for your recent IT enquiry you have been logged as incident number 1234567 and we will get to you asap. If in the meantime you feel that the incident needs to be raised to a reg flag level please call us on ******* !!!
Aaaargh...... we cant log in to call you...that the b...dy problem !!!
So thats how my days started...it can only get better I hope...on the upside the phones are quiet today...lol

Computer people & common sense are unaware of each others existence. In Windows 7 if you have an internet connection problem, you can go to the Internet Connection Troubleshooter. When you do it looks ONLINE for the trouble shooter, when it can't find it, the next question is.... Would you like to try another method, connecting to a friend maybe ? On the Planefinder info gathering app, when the internet goes of, a little box tells you W7 has disconnected it. When you re-open the app it says DISCONNECTED, would you like to DISCONNECT ? no other options.(self starts after 40 seconds)

Day off today which started well with clear skies and four added to the monthly score, sadly that was to be it for the day as the grey clouds progressively filled in during the afternoon.

March has not been too kind, all OTT , 9H VJH on the 2nd , A6 FEU on the 4th , A7 BEC on the 5th , A7 ADJ on the 9th , A6 ENE and 4R ALM on the 10th but today (12th) has been better A6 AOF and A6 AOB, within an hour of each other this morning and VT SUK Dash 8 departing Dabolim this afternoon, leaving me SUJ to find for the 'set'. VT SNP a Galaxy is going OTT N > S, at 35k now but no chance of seeing it. Im due to fly out Monday 07.05, via BOM, so hope to see a couple of the Costa ERJ'S there. The SBS reports will stop Friday 13th being the last, for those few that look at them. Got to collect a trailer from Wrexham, probably Weds or Sat so MAY be able to pop in somewhere on the way. Got to get a date with the (un)lovely Lynda :-) soon to return some DVD's. (no not porn). Will also have a decent internet connection, so look out for 'Epic 13', it's all typed out just needs (lotsa) pics added. Meanwhile have fun Terry
