We went up to Birmingham on Sunday to see Lynyrd Skynyrd play and were travelling home yesterday morning. Unfortunately, there was a very serious accident on the A419 southbound between the Spine Road and Cricklade junctions which saw us sit there in the car, along with everyone else for almost three hours while the police, fire brigade and ambulance service attended the scene.
The only consolation was that as we sat there, B737 A9C-ISA sailed across on her way to Cardiff or St Athan, which rather made up for the delay. Pleased to say though that no one was seriously hurt in the accident.

A pretty decent start here too, three Ryanair Sun scrapes into/out of BRS, N684UA B767 as detailed by Jerry above, a host of gliders yesterday as they went over Devizes en masse and a few today, best of which has been A6-BNA B789 taking a rather southerly route towards Stateside, my 534th B787

Graham, just ahead of you on 787s! Made CN-RGY 789 Royal Air Maroc on the AT800 into LHR my 540th, but missed A6-BNA which was actually inbound DUB on the EY41. Also made B-16729 773 Eva Air BR68 outbound LHR, think this was a second visit, missed it last time!
A number of the former Jet Airways fleet have been in UK airspace recently, missed VT-JBB today heading for SNN and 4 789s are said to be in or heading for Lasham.

Although still using the Mode S of VT-JBB, the 737 was US registered for it's lease return as N846AG. Similarly former VT-JBJ went the same way on Tuesday, again with an unchanged Indian Mode S but was also US registered as N551AG.

Caught the ‘new’ UA 767 today, but not a new frame for me, having logged it in Hawaiian colours at Honolulu. Shenzen A330 B302E inbound LHR was the best of today’s gap fillers.

Afternoon Chaps,
Strange old day today. Did all my household chores on Friday which consisted of 3 hours in the garden, washing the cars and generally cleaning up, thinking I’d have a full day of spotting... Woke up at 5.50am and things started off okay then slowed right down... Anyway, I can’t complain, I’ve been running in double figures for most of the week and today is no exception... So here’s my log, not sure what are pots, scrapes or just unwanted...
N80QJ G4 OTT 06.04 A6-BMF B787-10 Etihad to MAN 06.38 N917MS G4 OTT 06.53 SX-ABQ A321 Olympus OTT 07.15 9H-QAF B737 Malta Air OTT 07.50 D-AIEA A321 Lufthansa ex LHR 07.54 ES-ATA ATR-72 Nordica to SOU 08.00 EI-STP B737-4F ASL OTT 08.03 98-0057 C-17 USAF OTT going East 08.16 N163EG Global Express OTT 09.06 VQ-BIU A320 Aeroflot ex LHR 09.09 CS-TXB A321N TAP OTT to Oslo 09.25 XT787 (I think) Wasp flew East at 09.48 and then West at 16.25 G-CBSK Gazelle (plus a second) flew East at 09.54 G-BHVV Cub o/f 10.09 G-SAJC Emb145 Loganair OTT 10.29 N650GD Gulf 650 o/f 10.30 going south EI-EZC A319 Volotea OTT 10.46 to Cork C-GNDN Gulf 650 OTT 10.47 going South G-JBBB EC-120 o/f 11.02 N712LW Gulf 4 OTT 11.38 going south EC-MHX Beech C90 King Air landed at FAB 12.12

Can’t match Bill, but before the clouds rolled in managed frames N501DN 350 DL133 AMS-DTW and CS-TXB 321neo TP762 LIS-OSL.
A couple of LHR departures which have been around for a while but as far as I am aware have not visited before (no doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong!) VP-BLL 320 Aeroflot SU2577 and B-16719 773 Eva BR68.
TC-LSG 321neo Turkish is due out at 22.15 on the TK1984, should go overhead.
