Your 135 was parked North side on Friday. Thanks, Phil.
Having totted up my wants from the show, I have to confess to potting 72 - 1x USAF, 1x USN, 10x RAF, 1x RN, 56x other AFs and 3x pseudo-mil.
One of the pots is actually a "scrape" - the Pakistani C-130B which was seen at Northolt in the early '60s when serialled 24141!!

Good day at RIAT on Saturday. Made 51 including about 7 or 8 civil- left before the PC.24 and F.35 or else would have made 2 more. Caught up on 3 I missed at Yeovilton.
Nice to catch a few British needed- a Typhoon, Merlin, Apache, Texan, Phenom (and two Watchkeepers!)

After all the sums, made 78 frames at RIAT plus one scrape. Amazingly, considering how close to BZZ we are here in Wiltshire, the scrape was the static A330 Voyager which I'd seen as G-VYGI way back but never as ZZ338

The day started well, with the elusive AA 787 N835AN visiting LHR. Later, Hainan B-1140 hit the book, before VH-QQW F70 overflew London en route to Norwich. And then Eva sent in B16720, which seems to suggest that those in the 20s and 30s are becoming more common on this route.

Back from a short non-spotting holiday in France. Cloud cover meant no OTT opportunities, but LHR offered possibilities, with mixed results. Was not up early enough to see N686UA, one of the ex-Hawaiian 767s on the UA883 to EWR, and was tracking on FR24 VQ-BHV needed Aeroflot 738 on the SU2583, one second it was at the threshold of 27, the next it was about 10 miles out heading north so I missed it! However did make 3B-NBQ 350 Air Mauritius on the MK53 departure.

LHR switched to 09 this afternoon, enabling me to get a good view of B-6998 789 Hainan in a striking all-red livery - first visit? Of their 40 787s, all 10 788s and at least 19 of the 30 789s have now visited LHR. Also caught up with the latest El Al 789,4X-EDL.
However, despite blue skies, nothing of interest noted overhead.

Morning fellas,
Here’s my log for last few days...

29th.... I had booked to go on the Airbus Tour to Hamburg. The guys I normally go with had booked, as usual, with Ryanair from STN. On this occasion I thought I might save myself several hours, on the M25, by flying with the World’s Favourite from LHR. Very similar timings to Ryanair, bit more money but if you’ve ever tried to get to STN by 5am, then come home from STN late at night, you would appreciate the attraction of the BA service... Boy, did I ever make the wrong decision. Late Sunday afternoon BA decides to cancel my inbound from HAM which, basically, messed up the entire trip... So whilst the boys went off from STN and filled their socks with new Airbus’s, I sat at home all day pondering what to do with myself...So guess what, I started spotting and bagged this lot...

Wow, what a bumper day!!
You were lucky that RCH411 was indeed 03-3119 as hex AE119C has a second user, which is 03-3126. But panic not, RCH411 came out of Andrews AFB, MD where 03-3119 had gone the day before as RCH982 from Europe. Meanwhile 03-3126 has remained at its home base of McGuire AFB, NJ.
Be warned that there is another pair of C-17s that use the same hex code. 05-5141 (based at March AFB, CA) and 05-5151 (based at Hickam AFB, HI) both use hex AE1455

Well, not so good a story here at home, Dougie our four year old springer spaniel had an operation on his left rear leg cruciate ligament yesterday which means he now needs 6-8 weeks of well supervised home care to ensure everything heals properly. This eight weeks falls squarely within our booked holiday to Greece in mid September so have had to cancel the holiday. Easyjet were helpful when I rang their Customer Services but can only refund us about 40% of the holiday cost. Long term parking at LGW have refunded us the full amount minus a small admin fee so that's OK. We still have a week booked off in November when our little lad should be back to full fitness so are looking at a late deal for then. All-in-all, 2019 has proven to be a shite year so far and whilst I never wish time away, 2020 can only be an improvement.
