As predicted nice weather today but not a lot flying over but at the end of the day I have ended with 4 entering the log book, taking me over 50 for the month:- TC-LJR- 777 Turkish A/L Westbound OO-CMA- A330 Air Belgium heading west D-ILWP- C525A CJ2 Heading west to Belfast 164762- C130T Hercules USN heading south fl230 But best of the day was my health centre texting me asking if I wanted the second jab, a month earlier - I said Does the Pope pray on Sunday, Do Everton play at Goodison Park, are Liverpool S***, Of course I do and I was booked in for Thursday. Happy Days and Please stay safe Bob

** I'm confused about this one (easily done I know) but three tracking sites had this reg but the LAAS website shows it as 05-1944,so the question is which is correct?

Joe Baugher's US Military serials website say's that it was originally marked as 97-00049, then carried 97-01944, now 05-01944. Scramble gives it as 97-01944 with 05- as a ? Searching for photo's on Jetphotos & airliners.com only gives 97-01944 which is is marked as '1944' last photo taken Nov20. I saw it in Christchurch, NZ in 2007 and my logs note it as 05. Which probably doesn't clear anything up

Our friends over on FCG are saying it's 97-01944, the aircraft is actually named "Normandy" which is why it carries the 1944 part serial. Don't blame me though if that's not the correct serial....;0)

On the net their is a photo of C37A 1944 taken at Cherbourg 6th June 2014, so a D-Day connection.

G-BBKX, BJHB, **TIJL, OARU, ARDZ, *TOML, BVJT, GASP. Eight seen, one bagged (G-TIJL) one scraped (G-TOML used to be G-CSBM) Hopefully this means a corner has been turned, definitely means the month has ended on a relative high! Think I'll celebrate with a beer or two!

Last day of March and although the weather was gorgeous albeit skies very hazy, nothing flew over to frighten the scorer the one thing I did need PH-BVW was missed as I was doing something else in the house- and that was about how good it got. Ended up the month with 51 which brought the years total to 115 which was compared with 212 for the first three months of 2020. Off for five days now and the first day of April has greeted me this morning with cloudy skies- but fingers crossed things may improve. Stay Safe Bob

Sunny but very hazy in the Shropshire hills on Wednesday, but 3 went in the book. The haze caused me to miss a lot more.
A6-EFI B777-F1H Emirates SkyCargo UAE9918 e/b BQN - AMS OO-CMA A330-243F CMA CGM Air Cargo ABB112 s/b ORD - LGG CT-02 Airbus A-400M Belgian AF BAF660 s/b over Wales on training flight
Total for the month 66, all but 10 were OTT. Lets hope we can all get out more in April

I guess it was too much to ask that the weather forecasters got it right three days running meaning I know that I missed at least 3 airliners & two biz. However there was a lot of GA activity near me including a lot of helicopters but the majority were not needed but I did make two:
G-TLMI Robinson R66 N3550D Cessna 170B (went to Popham)
Final total for March was 77 giving me a running total for 2021 of 179

Amazing consistency. 83 in Jan, 84 in Feb and 88 in March, all from the garden. Highlights for March included the latest Tecnam for Cape Air on delivery through Biggin and 14 military of various sorts including 3 of my favourites, the mighty Hercules.

Yesterday's promised sunshine never materialised, just the occasional gap in the grey which enabled me to spot Air Canada A330 C-GOFW heading west which was a frame for me. Today is way cooler, still on the grey side and nothing about of interest thank goodness.
As for March in total, I made 50 frames and 18 scrapes, the frames consisting of the following with the scrapes added in the brackets
BIZJETS - 14 (8) BIZPROPS - 4 JETS - 16 (7) PROPS - 4 MILITARY - 4 GA - 8 (1) HELIS - 0 (2)
