It's March, St David's day, and Spring, according to the weathermen, officially begins. I went back to work yesterday after two months' furlough to be told that the company has been sold to an Italian competitor, so I wonder what the future holds?

Yesterday was the same as Sunday,a foggy start which took a while to clear but then it turned out to be a pretty good day:
G-FLFX Embraer EMB550 Praetor 600 A7-ANO A350-1000 Qatar (DOH-ORD) G-NJAC Cessna 560XLS Citation N113MH SA.226T Merlin IIIB A6-BMG B787-10 Etihad (AUH-LHR) EC-NJM A350 Iberia (MAD-LHR)
ZE708 BAE146 Royal Air Force
This morning has also started off being foggy so no chance of seeing TUI's latest Max G-TUMO on it's delivery flight to Gatwick.

Funny you should say that Dave, we usually have a working lunch with sarnies, sausage rolls and the like, but we had a Zoom meeting booked with the new owners at 12.30pm so Dominoes in Malvern turned up with some pizzas, presumably so that we could "show the love"....;0)

Only one entered the book on Tuesday even though it was in the afternoon wall to wall blue skies:- N515DN- A350 Delta westbound with a nice trail. No chance of anything today (Wednesday) as it is cold, overcast and basically miserable. Stay Safe Bob

Heathrow on 09s and low cloud have frustrated what could have been a good day. But relatively happy with RC135 63-9792 trailing this morning, then AW139 275 of Irish Air Corps overflying Biggin Hill.

So much for the forecast which mentioned sunny periods all day. Cloudy all day !!. Only 1 in the book. G-MFAB PA46 Malibu Meridian which passed over southbound off Blackpool, unusual as I would expect a PA46 to be above the cloud.
Hopefully better tomorrow, forecast mentions sunny periods. A bit optimistic I know.

Well with the change in the weather the cops also changed will nil recorded Wednesday, Thursday and Friday- no chance anyway due to cloud cover. Well the weekend is here and surprise, surprise there is a movement at LPL with a A321N of Wizz HA-LVI due from Bucharest this morning, only downside being the Rw in use is 09 and I don't need it. As mentioned previously, my Austria holiday has now been moved until September 2022, and one of my booked concerts in May has also been cancelled and rescheduled to next year also. So gardening and housework it is. Stay safe everyone. Bob

Morning Bob, we had tix to see the Brothers Osbourne at Birmingham last April, that was canx, rescheduled for November, that was canx and rescheduled for this coming April, found out this morning that that's been canx now as well. Hi Graham, I was supposed to go to the Emirates last June to see the Killers and was staying at Luton for one night and the Renaissance at Heathrow for two nights but that was cancelled and moved to June this year (hotel monies were refunded). Although currently on- Brandon Flowers the lead singer has said in an article in the NME that the UK tour does not look good for this year, so half expecting that to be cancelled in the next few weeks. I am not looking at anything before at least August aviation wise, then hopefully a few events MAY go on . Possibly Popham for my first trip out IF it goes ahead. Sorry to hear about your cruise Trev. The problems with holidays at the moment, is not the booking of them, it is whether other countries will let you in. Hopefully when we have all had the two jabs and the yearly booster we will be able to get back to some kind of normality. Stay safe everyone. Bob

Trev, after so many disappointments last year, and a trip to Cornwall for this year already cancelled, we've decided not to book anything anywhere until we know for sure that we'll be able to go. We lost three holidays last year, two in the southwest and one to Kefalonia and had a devil of a job getting our money back from one of them. I firmly believe that there IS light at the end of the tunnel, 21.5 million having had their first jabs now, pubs reopening for outside drinking in April, let's just hope that there's no sudden upsurge in covid cases because the thought of yet another lockdown, and the cost to the country and to businesses just doesn't bear thinking about.

Just before 12 on Saturday morning shock horror some blue skies appeared and finally added albeit just one to the total for 2021:_ N870AX- 787-8 AAL Westbound AMS-PHL That was it- a few things flew over during the afternoon but not needed. Only two arrivals into LPL- so it was a bit of aircraft clerical duties, before TV, tea and Beer. Stay Safe Bob

The problem we have is having two disabled children we have to book the cruise two years in advance due the limited number of disabled cabins, so that's us stuffed until 2023, still i shouldn't moan as there are people losing their lives due to C19 and at least we are safe. Now its off for my jab Trevor

With Heathrow back on 27s (I still think of it as 28L and 28R) I managed to catch up on the A330s, B-1041 of China Eastern and B-8117 of Hainan. Late visitors to Biggin Hill were C700 N282N and ATR G-IACY.
