Graham- Thought you had given the grass its first cut- which inspired me whilst it was overcast here in Runcorn this morning- to do some domestic duties:- 1. Windows cleaned inside and out 2. Grass Cut 3. Trimmed some bushes 4. Hoovered And 5 knackered going to chill out this afternoon with the promise of some blue stuff at about half two. Who said retirement was easy. Happy Days Bob

Still waiting to get off the mark for March, after last weekend's bonanza it has been wall to wall clag here,in fact since last Sunday I have only seen one aircraft and that was a BA Dreamliner heading stateside before it got swallowed up by the cloud. Yesterday football @ the Mad Stad and we lost again, this time 1-0 to Millwall and of course it was an ex Reading player who scored the winner,we are doomed for League 1 I fear. Dave, I hope Phils Doomsday prediction regarding League 1 does not happen- relying on you for some tickets when my beloved blues possibly go down this year. But looking at the next three fixtures for the Royals Notts Forest and Bournemouth A then Blackburn at Home it's going to be hard- all I can say is keep the faith. Spurs tonight for the blues not utterly confident- but you never know. Happy Days Bob

In addition to my chores I forgot to say I changed all the bedding and made the bed- in the afternoon as predicted by the weatherman- it cleared up about 3pm, but due due my brother in law and sister in law paying us a visit was unable to get any spotting done until just after 4pm but never the less three went into the book:- EI-HEB- A330F ASL (Ireland) southbound just behind the JAL 777 9H-VJY- Global westbound OE-FGC- C525M south out of DUB Then catastophe struck when my beloved blues failed to turn up at Tottenham and got stuffed 5-0 apparently they were reported to the police as eleven missing people in north London- one of those games I am glad I never watched on Sky. Tuesday morning it is nice again and three already in the book. Happy Days Bob

After the excesses of Monday- Tuesday was a chill out day, apart from going to the shopa to put my lottery on and getting a couple of things from the local Co-oP- but despite Manchester changing runways just as CS-TUO was going in with the Porto team- missed the latter as looking for something else- I still made 8:- EI-HES- 737-8M Ryanair inbound MCR N474D- G550 southeast bound N517DZ- A350 Delta east to AMS (First revenue flight) C-GKKN- 787-9 West Jet south to LGW 9H-QAJ- 737-8 Malta Air outbound MCR C-FWWU- CRJ2 Voyageur southbound ops for UN 130617- C130J CAF southbound HB-JWY- G550 in LPL The C17 in Grahams log went right OTT my home- but sod's law has it that I had seen that one before. Wednesday nice start to the day, albeit may change later but have made one so far- Dentist this afternoon for one out. Happy Days Bob

Three frames and a scrape for me yesterday so no complaints seeing as the cloud was variable for most of the day. We live a few miles north of the artillery ranges on Salisbury Plain and the noise from the guns was deafening for most of the day, shaking the patio doors and kitchen window. Goodness knows what it's like for those living in Market Lavington and West Lavington out on the Salisbury road, the ranges are virtually at the end of their gardens.
I remember a job I had about 20 years ago selling chemicals and the like, I had a call at the MOD P & EE ( Proof and Experimental Establishment) depot on the Plain, right next to the track that leads to the "lost" village of Imber. On range days, the entire building would shake and the noise was beyond deafening, how anyone could work in that is beyond me.

Used my freedom pass to go to the RAF Museum Hendon to catch up on those exhibits I missed on the last visit, when the WW1 hangar was closed. Made 15. As travel and entry were both free, I did not begrudge the £6 sandwich I bought for lunch there.
Also needed D-ASSB A319 OTT before setting off.
Thursday 10th
Heathrow still on 09s, so only saw new A350 G-XWBJ on climb out. OTTs were Ryanair 737Maxes EI-HEV and SP-RZK, HZ-MF6 B737, SP-VDH CL30, D-AIVC A350, A7-.MAO C17, N632UP B747, G-OODW PA28.
High cloud today, so chance of more, but still LHR on dreaded 09s!

Again Saturday was a bit of a hit and miss day- but 4 hit the books so it was a bit of a hit- in the afternoon I decided to tidy the garage, and it was one of those jobs when you wish you had not started- but four hours later it was done- another bonus was LPL are back on Rw27 landings but nothing of note was going in or mentioned on the local website. EC-NRH- A330 Iberia northbound SE-RPK- 737-8 NAS (Sweden) southwest bound LN-ENN- 737-8 NAS southwest bound LN-ENV- 737-8 NAS southwest bound Looking at the weather again- looks similar to Saturday but fingers crossed. As others have said, the weather was a bit hit & miss yesterday but did manage to log the following:
F-HUYB B737 Transavia France (DUB-ORY) OY-ASC B737 Air Seven (AAR-TFS) SE-RUA A320NEO Scandinavian (OSL-LPA) N249CG Beech G36 Bonanza N1CC Gulfstream G550 HB-JXR A320 Easyjet Swiss (BHX-GVA) OM-GTF B737 Go2Sky (CWL-TLS) 9A-LAB B737 ETF (CWL-CDG)
The downside to yesterday was the Royals getting hammered 4-0 @ Nottingham Forest after conceding the quickest goal in the Championship this season so far 19 seconds.
Today's forecast is similar to yesterday's so we wait and see what may happen.

Half decent day there Dave- won't say much about the football- after we capitulated against Spurs on Monday- our next two games are at home against Wolves and Newcastle- and really we have to win both imo or we may be heading down- but fingers crossed for both our teams- not going again today or next Thursday keeping safe for Jan's sake- just don't want to take any chances- as this Covid believe or not is still around and no-one wears a mask at the match. Keep the faith mate and as I type this it is starting to brighten up. Happy Days Bob

Know what you mean about people wearing masks Bob,I go to darts practice on Monday's & Wednesday's and I'm the second youngest there (69) but we all wear masks but that doesn't stop you from getting it.
With regards to the footie,we are away @ Bournemouth this coming Tuesday and at home to Blackburn next Saturday but the crucial fixture could well be the 1st game after the international break when we are away to Barnsley in a massive six pointer.
Still cloudy here @ the moment but at least it's stopped raining.
All the best to you & Jan.

Mornings Folks,
Well I’ve had a blinding week which started with a 4am alarm call on Monday (7th March 2022) morning! This was to catch the BA (G-EUYY) 6.45am flight to Hamburg. Flight was very pleasant, left on time and arrived 10 minutes early. Having cleared the immigration system as a Non-EU passenger we made our way to the only open viewing deck up near McDonald’s… Sadly it was very dirty with what looked like several days of McD rubbish very visible, the other issue was the glass screens to view through, all but three were frosted over which meant it was impossible to view through. Never the less we made use with the three clear screens and were able to log the following…
Hamburg. TC-NBB A320N Pagasus ES-ACK CRJ-900 SAS EI-HBA CRJ-1000 Hibernian D-CATZ Do328 D-ICEY Ce525 ES-ATD ATR-72 SASSP-LDE EMN-170 LOT D-HBAD Jet Ranger D-EGZC Ce172P D-MVBR Breezer D-HDSQ EC-135 D-EKGK PA-46 Malibu D-BOOM Ce680
We then collected our AVIS car and proceeded across to the Airbus facility at Finkenwerder. For those who haven’t been, although it’s not far from Hamburg Airport, it takes about 40 minutes and that’s on a good day… Anyway, this was one of those good occasions and we were there before 10am local. We chose not to go on the Airbus tour as they limit the number of hangars you are allowed in, so we just made do with what we could see from the perimeter fence. This following list was taken straight from my log, so not alpha/numerical I’m afraid.
Finkenwerder. Got quite a lot more to tie-up including 3 more Indigo, Cathay Pacific, 2 WIZZ, Volaris, Scoot, 2 Vietjet, Loong, Aegean, Delta and Air Astana… Again, for those who haven’t been, Finkenwerder lies right under the approach to HAM, so have your camera ready on finals or departure, take a good pair of bins/scope, and take some form of VR - we had a beautiful sunny day and there were loads of OTT’s.
We then started our trip back to HAM but this time went via the far side of the River Elbe to view the aircraft outside and parked on the A380 delivery ramp - this produced another 8 frames, most listed above.
Hamburg. D-HBAD Jet Ranger D-EGZC Ce172P D-MVBR Breezer D-HDSQ EC-135 D-EKGK PA-46 Malibu D-BOOM Ce680
Our flight home was on D-DBCJ A319 BA which was again very comfortable and arrived early…
I’ll continue with the rest of the week shortly…
All the best.
