St David's Day, Shrove Tuesday, Mothers' Day and the beginning of Summer Time on the 27th. I have to say that yesterday's leek pancakes were bloody horrible.
Got off the mark though for the month with a scrape and two frames. Wall-to-wall clag here this morning with a forecast that says it's likely to rain all day so not overly hopeful of making anything.

The 1st of March was a lovely day up here in Cheshire- I somehow managed to miss about half a dozen cops, whilst doing my man's work around the house but did manage to add two to the log to start the month off:- G-HLYB- A321 Jet 2 out of MAN D-AGBH- F7x westbound Have to agree with Bill on the pancakes Graham- never heard of Leek pancakes- is it a Devizes thing? When I do have pancakes I usually have loads of Jam on- but did not have any last night - had to make do with Chilli Con Carne with Garlic bread and a couple of glasses of claret. Today Wednesday- a complete change in the weather it is grim, overcast and raining. Happy Days Bob

Nothing yesterday, due to the awful weather- but did manage to get to the dentist for a filling, and also order my British Isles Civil Aircraft Register 2022 from LAAS so that will be heading my way soon, biro's and ruler ready. Today Thursday looks like much of the same whilst I have my coffee- but it is hospital appointment with my beloved, followed by shopping. Happy Days Bob

I did manage a solitary frame yesterday 02 Mar 2022 Devizes Wednesday N1852B Gulfstream G550 5146 Jet Aviation Flight Services Same here in Runcorn- but has been raining all day- you know that fine rain that soaks you through- but shopping this morning was eye opening, everyone in Widnes must go shopping on a Thursday- and everyone walks slow- is this the future for me. But managed to do a bit of underlining July is now in the various registers and have started August. Thought I better do it before my LAAS BICR arrives. Just one for me today. I made a quarter mile diversion to see OY-NCW DO 328 jet at Biggin Hill on my way to St Georges Tooting for my regular platelet and plasma donation. ( Takes my total donations to 243).

Evening Folks,
I couldn’t resist popping up to LHR to collect my 4th EVA B787 but timed it just right for the Turkish A350…
B-17882 B787-9 EVA Air TC-LGF A350 Turkish
Was searching for BA’s latest acquisition, unfortunately couldn’t find it but subsequently heard that it was actually inside the ‘Cathedral’ which we saw, but I’m not taking it… Just want to make sure.
Whilst at LHR I noticed a couple pinging at FAB so went for a quick transit down the M3, if it can be described as quick - what with the M25/M3 interchange 50 mph zone - which continues to aggravate me no end… Anyway, having got there had a real pleasant surprise when these ‘3’ went in the log.

( Takes my total donations to 243). Good for you Phil, congratulations. Being diabetic I’m afraid I’ve never been allowed to donate. My mum used be called out at all hours night, and day, back in the late 50’s and early 60’s… She was actually awarded with a medal. In those days she used to receive a written report about who received her donation, no personal details, just a description of the recipients circumstances and the outcome. I still have these and not all were happy endings unfortunately… RIP Madge, miss you mum. Bill

Bob, Thursday here in Devizes is market day, the locals call it "YMCA Day" because all the village people drive into town from the rural areas surrounding us. I guess that it was also "pension day" before folk started to have it paid straight into their banks so it's become the traditional "let's go to Devizes and cause carnage" day. It becomes instantly obvious that there are people who shouldn't be allowed within ten yards of a car, let alone to drive one. There are more accidents and shunts here on Thursdays than any other day of the week. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking our seniors, after all I officially became one on 27th Feb, but there's a tiny minority who appear to be unable to walk in a straight line or at more than 1mph let alone drive a car.
Well done Phil, that's a staggeringly high contribution to make for the benefit of others. I've only ever been a blood donor, gave my 119th in February but missed about six years of donations in the 80s when I was on the trucks. They do tell you where your pint has gone to, my last one went to Wycombe Hospital.

As predicted Thursday was aanother washout with a nil return- but we managed to stay in the Cup with a hard earned win against a very good Borehamwood side who did the club, the town and their supporters proud. Today Friday it has stopped raining and their looks like a possibility of some of that blue stuff- LPL are back on 27 and 9H-VUA 737 of Malta Air has just landed but sadly not needed. Later a Braathens ATR 72 believed to be SE-MKL is due in at LPL full of LFC supporters for teir game tmoz- I neeed that so fingers crossed I see it, as I have an appointment at the garage to check out one of my tyres which has either a slow puncture or a dodgy valve. I know what you mean about the older drivers Graham- some should have their licences taken off them but some are still good. Better not say too much I'm well and truly heading that way. Up the Toffees Happy Days Bob

Afternoon Chaps,
Had to pop over to FAB just now as I’d missed the early arrival of the Canadian CL300. It’s parked opposite the Terminal building very visible. Don’t expect to get much more due to the low cloud but as ever I’ll keep my fingers crossed. So the log looks like this:

Thats it…

After two blank days nice blue skies arrived mid morning Friday and the following six hit the books:- EI-HGX- 737-8200M Ryanair south out of DUB SE-MKL- ATR 72 Braathens inbound LPL 2-TAKA- Eclipse inbound LPL 9H-VUS- 737-8200M Malta Air out on MAN EI-HGW- 737-8200M Ryanair west to DUB F-HTVU- 737-8 Transavia (France) south out of EDI This morning Saturday wall to wall blue again and two already in the book so fingers crossed for some more. Also MCR is on 05 landings- but nothing of note due in as far as I can see that is needed. Tyre sorted would you believe it a nail and I have only had the car a month. Happy Days Bob

Morning Bob, the company very kindly provided me with a new car just over a year ago, a lovely Mercedes A250e hybrid. Within a few days, the tyre pressure warning on the dash said that the front nearside tyre was low, about half of what it should've been. Took it to the local tyre place, they found a large staple which had gone through the sidewall, so that couldn't be repaired and then on checking the other three tyres, informed me that the rear offside had a bloody great screw in it, also through the sidewall.
Fortunately, the car is leased via Lex and the package the company took out included tyre replacement which is a good job as both knackered tyres had only done a couple of hundred miles and were something like £160 a throw.
Just a frame and two scrapes yesterday, was gutted not to see the ET Dash 8 on delivery it went right over the house but no chance whatsoever of seeing it

F-GSTD Beluga (not needed log wise) diverted to BHX on Thursday due to an on board emergency. I believe it was on route Madrid to Hawarden so must have been quite serious not to make it on to Chester. I only saw it there as I took my daughter for a PCR test on the BHX site. I believe it was scheduled to depart on Friday afternoon but that was cancelled and it is still there as I write.

Still waiting to get off the mark for March, after last weekend's bonanza it has been wall to wall clag here,in fact since last Sunday I have only seen one aircraft and that was a BA Dreamliner heading stateside before it got swallowed up by the cloud.
Yesterday football @ the Mad Stad and we lost again, this time 1-0 to Millwall and of course it was an ex Reading player who scored the winner,we are doomed for League 1 I fear.

Was also at the game yesterday Dave. Didn’t deserve to lose, but there was a real lack of attacking quality and a lot of poor passing, needlessly losing possession. Yes, looks like League 1 for Reading next year sadly - hopefully only a short stay!

Sunday was lovely for the best part of the day up here in Cheshire with 05 arrivals at MCR thankfully although LPL were on 09 nothing of note was due so it was chill out in my man cave and waiting for the fun to begin- it did and 10 hit the books- although I did miss the Comlux 787 P4-787 landing at MCR:- G-CKUZ- 737-4 West Atlantic west to BFS 9H-QAX- 737-8 Malta Air west to DUB 9V-SWV- 777 Singapore westbound N388FT- G5 South East bound G-HLYA- A321 Jet 2 inbound MCR N516DN- A350 Delta westbound out of AMS JA882J- 787-9 JAL North out of LHR F-HTVD- 737-8 Transavia (France) southbound TC-SMB- 737-MAX- Sun Express inbound MCR JA735J- 777 JAL south to LHR Although good for me and I wish the war in Ukraine was not happening- the two JAL's were very nice especially the 787 (My first) which was doing a different routing and the JAL 777 was a massive gap filler. As I type this on Monday morning it is currently overcast- but my beloved has a load of domestic duties for me today Happy Days Bob
