Well Saturday was again a mixture of blue skies, which clouded over, then re-appeared but also it was very windy-so in between visiting the outlaws and doing some shopping with my beloved the following 7 hit the books:- N627UP- 747-8F UPS west out of EMA D-AWBF- CL650 west to DUB D-AIYD- A330 Condor southbound SU-GFL- A320N Egyptair west to DUB OH-LWG- A350 Finnair (Ops EWGs) westbound 9H-AXO- CL604 south out of BLK N1LA- G550 southbound This morning Sunday it is much the same, I had thought about going to White Waltham for the Air Britain Flyin and incorporating a few airfields on the way down and on the return- but with the cost of fuel being a factor and the cost of between £80 and £100 on fuel only for the round trip- I made the decision to give it a miss- save our money instead for Fairford. I'm not tight but the spiralling cost of fuel is ridiculous in my opinion the retailers kicking the backside out of it- and Boris blaming it on the Ukraine conflict. I think the Gov are happy for the cost to remain high so they can reap more and more tax. Anyway rant over- no trip today. Happy Days Bob

It's gone not very nice up here Dave- the wind has got up and it is wall to wall cloud- so it looks like it is a stay inside day and watch Glastonbury on the TV. I saw the log for White Waltham on the Laasi site and it was not the best- it seems that this year there is a curse on the events I have been too or planned to go to- hopefully RIAT will be ok, and the LAA Grass Roots- because they are all I am doing for the remainder of this year. As usual, the weathermen got it all wrong and instead of the forecast sunny intervals, it was cool, blowy and cloudy for much of the day which meant I had to be content with one frame and one scrape. 25 Jun 2022 Devizes Saturday S D-AIVD Airbus A350 941 280 Lufthansa F EI-SIO Airbus A320 251NSL 10813 Scandinavian Airlines Connect Yesterday evening was a great night out, a reunion had been arranged for all the old drivers from Syms Transport who I drove for for almost ten years. We have these get togethers every three or four years in nearby Calne where the company was based. It's always good to see old friends plus for some of the lads there, it was their first reunion so I hadn't seen them since 1992. So, as my missus would say, there were huge clouds of blue diesel smoke blowing around the club as we recollected some great times, especially some of the European trips we'd done but also, sad that a couple of lads who came along to the last one were no longer with us. Sunny all day yesterday, a little bit of high, fair level cloud so had a great day which included a mini Gulfstream fest and the Air Busan A321 which sadly seemed to be on her final trip to St Athan. The two VPs at the bottom seemed to be following each other, way across to my west but both trailing and clearly visible

As per my post and log on the southern UK fields section, I drove down to Shepton Mallet to see the helicopter arrivals and departures to/from Glastonbury as the rich and famous all went home. I saw the C-5 trailing as I was driving, I would have seen it from home had I been there so I've left it as a Devizes pot. I'm now down to needing just five active C-5s. With 11 frames and 2 scrapes at Shepton Mallet, plus the 2 frames and 3 scrapes below, a top notch day

Well the weather Gods were not good to me on Tuesday with only the second day this month a negative cops result- it was windy cold and raining all day even LPL were on 09 landings, so couldn't even see anything on the 27 approach - and when I switch Wimbledon on the TV it is blue skies. So it was aviation clerical, and TV. Woke up Wednesday nice blue skies and I made a quick two before it has clouded over again- but currently not raining. Happy Days Bob

Wednesday started off well with two hitting the books before 7am and blue skies, but then it clouded over and the rain came- so it was a lot of clerical in my den, a hospital visit for my beloved and some TV. White Rabbits- The last day of June started overcast but the odd bit of blue skies appeared during the day to allow in between cleaning out the gutters on the conservatory and cutting the grass managed to make a further six to add to the log. YL-LDK- A320 Smart Lynx south to LGW ops for EZY D-AIYA- A330 Condor southbound TF-LLL- 757 Icelandair south to LGW HB-ALL- ATR72 Zimex inbound LPL G-MACR- Sr22 south on the low level route out of LPL EI-EIK- A330 Aer Lingus south to LHR Ended up with 152 for the month only two blank days, giving me a yearly total of 782 which is 432 up on 2021. June was disappointing with all the planned trips being affected by the weather Ragley especially- but well happy with the months total- I suppose it helps being retired. July through to the beginning of September is the business end of the spotting year travel wise for me with RIAT and the LAA- then it will be the Football Season and just spotting from home until next April. Friday morning and it is overcast Happy Days Bob
