Nothing seen yesterday due to the cloud but the rain didn't arrive until after lunch,it was needed. This morning it is very murky but hardly any wind so at the moment not expecting to see anything and then this evening it's off to the Mad Stad (I can't get used to it being called the Select Car Leasing Stadium) for the footie against top of the table Blackburn Rovers, knowing Reading we will win this one. Four frames and a scrape yesterday, predominently clear skies with just a couple of showers mid afternoon. The KC-46 went across about a mile to my north before taking a sharp turn to SSE and skimming Devizes by just a few miles. Goodness knows what the OE was doing over Wiltshire but it was gratefully received

Yesterday the weather was showers & a bit of blue stuff which allowed me to log two that followed each other into Farnborough.

What a performance by the Royals last night,it's been a longtime since I came out of the stadium on such a high and if it hadn't been some last ditch defending by Blackburn,it would have been 5 or even 6,long may it continue.

Four frames for me yesterday including the Norse Atlantic B787 that went across to my south heading west. Out of interest, she was my 758th B787 but I know you lads close to LHR will beat that with all the Chinese that go in there.

Very true, Graham. Living so close to LHR approach means I have 780 B787s. I wonder which will be my 787th?

The blue skies soon disappeared to a mixture of cloudy skies with the odd blotch of blue, but at least it did not rain- but made a respectable four to get the cops wheel moving again, and I missed quite a few needed which were missed due to the cloud moving in:- 2-DAVE- Eclipse westbound CS-TVI-A320N TAP inbound MAN G-JFPG- A109 Grand South on low level route 9H-MLR- A320 Avion Express (Malta) ops for EWG I was dog sitting during the evening whilst my beloved and our friends went to see Peter Kay in Liverpool with his Dance-a-Thong show. The friend dog was no problems, apart from taking him for a walk. So it was watching the Norwich v Millwall game on Sky. Weather the same today- but off to Goodison this afternoon for the first time in 12 months due Covid and obviously my beloved's treatment. Happy Days Bob

I had a 9am call in Swindon yesterday so decided to leave early and drove straight up to the Marston Meysey crash gate at Fairford to see the B-52's. As usual, they were quite well hidden by the grass mounds but I did see four tails which is good enough for me. I had seen 60-0005 previously when it was over here in 2018 on deployment but very pleased with 3 out of the 4.

It was nice to get back to Goodison yesterday after a year away and meet up with the lads- the team played well, but we desperately need a striker as we dominated the first half and had numerous chances which we failed to take with- basically couldn't hit a barn door- then it was an even game, and when Forest scored I thought here we go again- but Gray scored a cracker near the end, and we could have won the game. But to be fair it was a fair result. Another nice result for the Royals Dave and Phil. Back to spotting missed a Greek Gulf due to the match inbound LPL- but did get the following after the game:- TC-RSE Lear Jet 45 inbound LPL Then it was a chippy tea (again) and a few beers and TV. Sunday is similar to Saturday overcast with the odd bit of blue. Happy Days Bob

Just looked at the ‘on the ground’ list on FR24 - and it’s not listed as being at INV. Maybe it didn’t get away… Bill

It was a Sunday of indifferent weather again, and although I made the bed, my beloved said if your fed up you can hoover up- so that was my next job, then I cleaned the windows (again) and the guttering on the conservatory- before settleing down to watch the Geordies v City game. But it wasn't all fun as I managed to add the following to the log book:- N889CH- G650 inbound LPL EC-NUI- A330 Wamos (Ops VLG) north to KEF N4062J- A321N Jet Blue westbound ex LGW OE-LSL- A320N Easy Jet (Europe) southbound out of MAN Up at daft o'clock this morning to take my beloved into work- and it's raining. Yesterday began dull but dry and by 10am had developed into wall-to-wall sunshine which meant a great day's spotting. The gliders were up from Keevil and Longbridge Deverill so a good few went in the book as they floated across town. The LATAM was a nice pot, and a change from the usual one that comes across. EC-NUI went due north a few miles to my east, the THY A350 was on her way to DUB and the Indigo A320 to SNN although I had seen her previously as A7-ADE

In regards to the ZT registered AW, I have read from someone on FB (presumably WW ops) that they're due back for 3 days at between 4-7th Sept, however due to change of course. I believe he also mentioned them visiting Denham the day/couple of days prior to this.
Wonderful pics from the same chap on FB, the crew even turned the aircraft 180° on take off for photo opportunities - one cracker of a scheme with half of Marwell on it...

My August continued like this…
17th….
My HISI was telling me I needed 5 frames on the ground at Farnborough, so I popped over and made these.

19th.
News had come in overnight that B-52’s had arrived at Fairford so all the household chores went out the window, fired up the Quattro and got underway… 4 Buff’s and I needed 2…. A nice surprise was that while I was in transit a U-2 had also arrived…
80-1077 U-2 USAF 60-0026 B52 USAF 60-0034 B52 USAF
On the drive back I’d heard an EasyJet A319 had returned to QLA from the States, so I thought I’d pop in to see it. What I hadn’t expected was a gliding competition was in full progress… So the following were logged. Please excuse the lack of glider types - I’d be here all night otherwise.
VP-CTN A321 OM-EDA B737-8 RDS 3 x Aer Lingus A321’s, no serials visible other than PG & PE on tips of tail. Didn’t get the third…. D-KVMY can’t be found in ADU, so if anyone has a type and c/n I’d appreciate the details. These were all frames I needed, if anyone would like a list (by no means a complete one) of the ones I didn’t need, do let me know.
Once home the following were made. OE-LNL B757F DHL (to LHR 20.19)

Tuesday rained most of the day and a needed F2000 due at LPL landed on Rw09 so no good for me- due weather I declined going down to see it- but the runway at LPL changed back to 27 and I was rewarded with the following:- HA-LGA- A321NX Wizz Wednesday and it is raining again- so fingers crossed for something into LPL or an improvement in the weather.
