Bright early with good trails, but soon clouded over. Made EI-FJP 738 of Norwegian descending towards BHX but that was it, was hoping for A6-EUA A380 out of LHR which just went overhead on the EK32, but well above the cloud. I know this has visited LGW, but first time in LHR?

After an absolutely horrible morning at work where it threw it down- not nice when I spent a couple of hours in the yard- with my big waterproof coat on. It cleared up about 15:00 and currently the skies are nice and blue- but nothing trailing so very difficult to see anything- but Specsavers to the rescue- so far three in the book:- EI-LNJ- 787-9 NAS heading North N300JA- Gulf 1V heading west G-VFAN- 787-9 Virgin also Northbound Also saw EC-LUB- A330 of Iberia on the climb out of MAN got excited for a short while- until I realised I saw it at LAP in May- got to get my log books marked into the various registers now everything is up to date. Those three took me into the fifties for this month- not bad seeing I have not been anywhere. Happy days Bob

Just a quick post to say how much I'm looking forward to the visit to Middle Wallop tomorrow and for the chance to meet all our forum members who are going, both those I 've had the pleasure of meeting before, and those who I'll meet for the first time tomorrow. Weather forecast looks pretty decent and as always, a massive "thank you" to ZZ who has organised and coordinated the visit.

But it is on this evening's flight into Manchester so hopefully will see it on it's way out later on. Happy Days Bob

Half decent morning at work- but went overcast just before 12 when I was coming home- but did manage an AAC BN2 defender ZG995 just after a big black cloud passed over and dumped a load of Aqua over us and which looked like it was going into LPL but headed east in the direction of Manchester. Lucky break in the cloud enabled me to see G-XLEL A380 on delivery, leaving the Ockham hold.
Unusually, SAS used one of their new CRJ900s EI-FPG into LHR on the SK4629/30 from/to SVG, but too cloudy to see it on departure. Hope this becomes a regular.

Glorious day up here in Cheshire- made it a pleasure to go into work- where quite a bit of time was taken tidying up the yard- well it has to be done when the sun is shining. So far 3 have hit the books- which makes it 11 for the week which I am well happy with- seen today:- TC-LJH- 777- Turkish YU-BMG- 737-8- Blue Air HB-JNA- 777- Swiss. Happy Days Bob

Starting to cloud over 15:28 but still nice- not before Air France 777 F-GZNT and USAF C37a (G550) 01-0028 were seen the latter heading south not trailing- fingers crossed for a Chinese G550 currently heading my way over the Irish Sea. Happy Days Bob

Lots of black clouds and plenty of aqua this morning- but with the odd bit of blue which has just allowed me to get F900EX N900SN OTT heading south- Also seen earlier inbound LPL but not needed was Global 5000 N900GX. Happy Days Bob

Been overcast most of the day- but just before I went with the Missus to Manchester to get some holiday stuff- saw Gulf 450 N60TC heading west not trailing- started to rain on the way home from Manchester- and has continued since- so it is beer, beer and footie this afternoon and evening. Back into work tomorrow. But hey someone has got too Happy days Bob

After a cloudy, coldish morning at work- the blue skies have arrived up here in Cheshire albeit with a bit of wind- and my usual one has hit the books in the form of Air France 777 F-GZNU heading west to Montreal on the AF344 and not trailing. Happy Days Bob

A much better day here with the cloud slowly clearing. A couple of LHR departures, big gap-filler TC-JSJ A321 still in its distinctive Borussia Dortmund livery, and A40-DG A330 of Oman - don't recall noting this one in LHR before (usually use B, D and E with occasional appearances by A and C). Also a couple of OTT, TC-LJH 773 on the TK10 heading E and (at last) EI-FWA the Suchoi 95 returning to DUB from LBG.
A7-BEJ newish 773 of Qatar is in LHR at present, due out at 16.00, if I see it, it will be my 1,100th 777 frame.
(Edit) The Qatar just went overhead in blue sky on Dover departure. Another needed frame to look out for later is ET-ASK 773 currently on LHR approach on the ET710.
(Later edit) The Ethiopian also went overhead on departure, as did a bonus, new Lufthansa A320 D-AIUV.

Hi Jerry, that's an impressive total of 777s you have there. I'm currently sitting on 775 so certainly need to spend more time at LHR.

One disadvantage in using spreadsheets arranged by serial rather than registrations is that is not always easy to see what frames are needed. I was amazed to find by accident a few days ago that I had no recorded sightings of Virgin's G-VINE even though it has been around for 5 years, but that was rectified this morning as it left LHR on the VS115 to ATL.
Also made SAS CRJ.900 EI-FPC on the SK4630 to SVG, and awaiting the departure of brand new 738 7T-VKN on the AH2055 due out at 15.00.

Jerry, I actually run two sets of spreadsheets for the heavy stuff, one by construction numbers and the other by tail number. The latter means I can log scrapes whereas the former let's me know if I've seen the frame before, regardless of its current tail number. I intend doing the same for all biz when I get the time to start.

I thought I was doing well on 946 and trying to see how best to target frames to get to 1000.
