No chance of seeing anything from home, so took a trip to FAB - thanks to their blogspot which listed those on the ground. Around 15.00 made M-AABG, HB-JFB and VP-BJN GLEX, C-GZKL CL.650, 9H-LDV and VP-COO CL.605, YU-FSS F.2000LX, LX-FDA F.7X, N561SK Gulf 550, N850JL CRJ.200, CS-CHA BD.350. Also scrapes N907WS CL.605 and N297GB F.900EX. Mystery GLEX M-RRRR gives no hits on Google, does anyone have a c/n? Fairoaks on the way home yielded LX-ERG and LX-JFJ PC-12s.

I can confirm M-RRRR, Jerry, and it's CN is 9683 apparently. We must've seen you - we were in a grey/silver Suzuki alto. Must've made about 12 or so there, so a great turn out. Also visited fairoaks however didn't need anything there except CICC C152 Dylan

I was at Eelmoor briefly around 15.00 in a black Mercedes C180, just before G-RMMA departed, then moved round to the industrial estate at Helios but there were no other spotters there.

Have a great time Bill mate - look forward to seeing the logs mate.
Jerry, no worries re the GlobEx. I don't recall a black Mercedes C180, however we did go down to the industrial estate with another spotter called Dave who we then dropped off to Farnborough train station for his long journey back to north London (between Luton and Stansted). Did you visit Blackbushe for the P68 there, G-GIGA I think it was? Tucked in the corner by the tower.
Cheers Dyl

Bob, the missus and I saw ELO at the O2 in London in early May. They were supported by The Feeling who were excellent. We've both been ELO fans for decades and the sound, set list and light show were superb. You'll have a memorable time and let's hope they release a live album of the tour.

Had a great start to the month. After spending Tuesday evening at Gatwick, we departed Wednesday morning for Valencia. We logged about 40 at Valencia, mostly G.A. The best was 5Y-WWA. We then drove to Teruel for the stored airliners. We logged over 50 but have a few to find out as we got pulled by the Guardia Civil who wanted to know who we were, what we were up to...etc. They checked our details (and our pics) and then were quite friendly but we thought we better not hang about any longer!
So we then had a near-3 hour drive to Madrid, via a quick stop at Torrejon to see the two preserved and easily visible Phantoms. The hotel at Madrid overlooks the airport and arrivals, so we sat up until midnight watching them. Lots of good stuff, then up early to watch the long haul arrivals.
The plan is to sit here another hour for a few more Iberia 330/340s then off to Cuatro Vientos where I have been wanting to go for years! Then back to the hotel for the afternoon and onto Berlin airshow tomorrow.
So lots of logs and photos to sort soon! (Oh, and it's 28degrees C and sunny...!)

At last a few breaks in the cloud! Missed several this morning including needed D-AXGC A330 of Eurowings, EI-FON heading for NCL and N814AA 788 inbound LHR (788s now operating the AA46/87) but first frame for a few days, the elusive Swiss A321 HB-IOO heading for DUB.

Despite the broken cloud and haze, having a good day, 9 frames made already. D-AEWC A320 of Eurowings, N814AA 788 of American and VQ-BQE 773 of Aeroflot into/out of LHR, and overflights TF-GMA A321 of Wow, N827NW, D-AXGC and TC-JOV A330s, C-FIYA 767 of Rouge and HB-IOO A321 of Swiss. But still can't catch up with those elusive Ryanairs!

Can't believe no-one is seeing things on these bright sunny days - is everyone on exotic foreign trips, or are reports of sightings now considered boring???
Anyway, another decent day for me with LHR arrivals D-AIUU and D-AEWF A320s and A7-BEH 773, plus overflights LY-SPH A320 (also saw SPI, but only a scrape), VP-BIK 744F, HB-JNB 773 and EI-FRP, slowly catching up with the Ryanair. Couple of biz, N111QS GLEX and VP-BCT Gulf 650.

Morning all, just a quick note to say that the tour of the Hamburg Airbus plant yesterday was superb. Many thanks to Bill, Viv, Malcolm, Kev and Deano for some great company and well done EasyJet for getting us back to LGW bang on time after departing HAM 25 minutes late. We all have our logs for the day which I'm sure will be appearing over the next few days. My estimations are that we noted about 50-55 A319/320/321s during the tour, as well as 5 x A380s and several others of various descriptions parked on the flight line as well as everything at HAM both before and after the tour. Only downside was a strict "NO PHOTOS" policy at the plant but you can't have it all. Was it ever hot too, 30C during the afternoon on the viewing deck at HAM.

Bill organised the trip Keith, I can't recall the main details but he will let you know I'm sure. As far as I recall, the actual tour was about £25 but this including coach travel to and from HAM to the plant. I paid about £65 return air fare from LGW but did book fairly late compared to the others.

Hi Graham I did the tour on Wednesday afternoon, was an amazing tour got round 5-6 of the hangers. Was part of an Aeroprints tour that took in the ILA in Berlin and other stops including Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Malmo and a few light fields.

Hazy down south too. Can't see LGW inbounds or outbounds so haven't seen any of the Westjets yet (did see 2 of the 4 767s with Qantas in Australia in 1997) but can see some LHR visitors -made N811AB 788 of American today, plus catch-up F-GZNU 773 of Air France and OY-NCJ Do328J inbound LTN or STN from Perigeux.
