Managed to grab A6-ENO on departure from Manchester earlier, but have recently missed TC-JTL on the same routing - only one cloud in the sky, and that's where the Turkish was! Hopefully an American 787, and my first SSJ-95 (Cityjet) later!

Spent 3 nights 'up north' with the missus - the good news was that she wanted to go to the Tatton Park flower show yesterday, which just happens to be near the end of the runway at Manchester. She kindly pointed out the Emirates B777 A6-EGM and via playback on FR24 also managed to make Finnair E190 OH-LKL and my missing TUI B787-8 G-TUII. Wife happy and 3 in the book- result.

Bob, did you by any chance see a pair of Vampires yesterday in your neck of the woods? I was working down in Cornwall when I had a text from a lady member on there asking if I could ID them.

That was Chris actually, Graham. But I would have given you the same answer had I seen it in time.
They were at the Eric "Winkle" Brown Memorial Day at Yeovilton.

Evening Folks,
One request then some general news...
First thing this morning (07.40) there was a Virgin balloon cruising between Aldershot and Pirbright direction. I got a couple of photos but despite maximum zoom the reg was tiny.... It was all red with Virgin signage on both sides... If anyone got the reg I'd appreciate the details...
My wife and I spent the afternoon at the Newbury race track... The thing was sponsored by Emirates and Dubai duty free plus a few other UAE organisations... Well to my surprise two choppers landed M-SHRM AW.169 (I think) plus G-LAWX S-92... Got photos of both but they arrived and departed in that order... I needed the AW and have just checked Airframes - and it's not listed yet!!!
Cheers lads.

And two for me as well, yesterday.
The "Blackcats" Wildcat display team (ZZ535 [43C770] callsign "BLACKS" and ZZ375) routing west down Pewsey gap along the Northern edge of Salisbury Plain back to Yeovilton. They had been up in Scotland for the East Fortune show.
Was very lucky to see them. Needed binoculars (and ADS-B Exchange).

Just managed to grab 787 N804AN on its way in to Manchester through a timely gap in the clouds. Hoping I can do the same for the Austrian E195 (OE-LWM) shortly! I now need 7 AAL 787s, getting there slowly! Just wish the Hanian A330s turned up about this time...

Chris, it seems that the daily service to LHR using AA's 787-9s has come to an end and they seem to head for Manchester now which is a shame as I still need 802, 809, 811 and 813. I can't see inbounds to Manchester from Devizes even if I stand on a chair and use my biggest zoom lens...;0)

Been busy updating all my logs for weeks now, from tail number based to construction number based and the end is still nowhere in sight but at least it keeps me off the streets. Off to Blackbushe tomorrow as a volunteer for Peter Brown's air day, forecast looks good, a bit cloudy, but dry and around 22c. Anyone else going?
