1st day of a week off, and my good friend Andy came over for day of spotting, and a quick visit to Sandown to see a huge gap filler for the both of us, with myself making a creditable 11 for the day.

Glorious morning here but cloud rolled in a few hours ago so don't think I will add to the three logged:

Amazingly, with all the low cloud here in Melksham, I managed to see (and make) two today.
15.12 "BDN69" A.400M ZM411 [43C5E5] just under the (then) cloud base on its way down to the Bournemouth area. First flight since delivery?? 15.39 "JUNG411" Merlin ZJ992 [43C613] coming from the Marlborough direction at 2100ft.
Mustn't grumble!!
Cheers,
Bob

Glorious start to the morning with a -4C, and frost, no clouds but it all went down hill from about 9 onwards, but still managed to add three before the clouds rolled in.

A reasonable afternoon here, way down south. This allowed me to add Five to the November log.

Low cloud and rain early, cleared just in time for me to see 767F N207AX of Omni, but just a scrape (seen with Continental). Just one frame today, EI-FTE inbound STN from AGP, still need FRW/Y/Z all based overseas and FTG based DUB has been into LGW many times but can't see LGW approach or departure.

Not the best picture of your Ecuadorian. Taken through a dirty aircraft window in the rain at Guayaquil earlier this year on the way back from the Galapagos.

Way down south here, close to the equator, where it was a barmy 10 degrees C today, and lovely blue skies for the best part of it. This has allowed me to grace the pages of the log book with a further 17 ( now that is barmy !! )

Not quite so close to the equator, and only 9 degrees! Just 2 for me today, both on LHR departure, caught up with OO-SNE A320 Brussels, and a surprise, HB-JBC CS100 Swiss. Was noticeably quiet as it went overhead at around 5000ft.

Just "SYS66" Squirrel ZJ270 [43C71B] for me today, routing West of Melksham back home to Shawbury at an indicated 3200ft.
I didn't need the two KC-10As 84-0186 and 86-0030 on their daily McGuire - Mildenhall - McGuire as "RCH702" and "RCH701" respectively, and dropped "RCH168" C-17A 07-7180 which was visible for about two seconds as a tiny blue patch rolled directly across it.
A shan't grind my teeth over Chris's AC-130U as I saw it two years ago at Mildenhall. As for the Ecuadorean FA7X, I would have been extremely lucky to see it even if the sky had been blue in that direction.
Mustn't grumble (too much).
Cheers,
Bob

Clear blue skies here today, and made 2 Norwegians at the same time. Trailing at FL360 towards Scandinavia was EI-FJV and at FL380, just a couple of miles behind it was EI-FJY showing on ADS-B with just its hexcode of 4CACE5. 12 in total in the book so far today - keep them coming!

What a fantastic day, what I thought was going to be a slow tedious slog of trying to get anything new, went exactly the opposite , with an extraordinary total of 28 for the day, and I didn't have to leave the house to see them ( apart from just down the garden ).

Made PH-EXI E175 routing BRS-AMS early, but was out for most of the day. But on return made 3 in less than 30 minutes, OO-JEM E190 Tui BRU-AGP, EC-MFN A320 Vueling NCL-BCN and C-GTQX 738 Air Transat presumably returning to Canada after summer lease to Smartwings as OK-TSC. Also a scrape F-HFKG E145 inbound STN (seen as G-ERJC).

RCH flights avoided me today, But I got three Army Wildcats into the book. It would have been four, but that one was too low and too far away.
"POLCT07" ZZ391 [43CF30], "CARBN09" ZZ387 [43C6EB] and "CARBN10" ZZ524 [43C765] all routed Brize Norton > Yeovilton. The one I missed was "POLECT08" ZZ403.
"CARBN09" was at 6000ft and the others were at 1800ft.
On (a non-spotting) holiday from tomorrow for a week down near Bournemouth, but will keep an eye on the place (and on ADS-B).
Happy spotting to all. May your pots be plentiful.
Cheers,
Bob

Both EI-FJV and EI-FJY went back SW after dark within a few minutes of each other, saw the strobes of both in a clear night sky. (edit) and a late night bonus, VT-GHF 738 of Air India Express out of BHX on delivery, calling AI164.
