Cloudy again at Mildenhall, but not so cold fortunately. Therefore missed another needed C-17 - which (of course) would have been viewable from home.
However.......7 blank days and then I make three in 5 minutes, plus one in Cambridge. Two French Alpha Jets and a US Army C-12U, plus the Qatari C-130.
The Alpha Jets are night stopping and going home via Bournemouth - I think.

At last some blue sky! Cloud cleared mid afternoon, made EI-FZN routing DUB-BVA and OH-LKG E190 returning home from EXE (OH-LKR went the other way yesterday).
LHR still on 09 and yielded 4 more frames, SE-DOY 320neo SAS, N29968 789 United, VT-ANW 788 Air India and HL7642 748 Korean.

So the one you saw was the Ramstein one doing its thing over STANTA?!
Pity the transatlantics now use Aldergrove instead of Mildenhall, but I suppose they want their Guinness.

Spent virtually the whole day in the garden and made 31! It would have been even better if Heathrow had not been on 09s yet again - UA and AA Dreamliners and TAP A330 missed. Highlights were my first UA 777-300 N2331U, Czech ATR72 OK-MFT, a pair of Ryanair gap fillers, and a loose formation out of Biggin Hill of Spitfire, Hurricane and Harvard.

Nope 93-1040 was the only one I saw, First one was around 0630 this morning then another around 0800 then that line of 4 and the Ramstein I think. Thankfully Civil stuff has helped me today...Big time! Mike B

10 made in three days (4-1-5). See trip report for details.
I think that I deserve that after suffering 7 straight days of zilch (and not much more in the way of movements).
Cheers,

Do however need the Andrews based Nacho tanker you have there at the moment. Can count the tankers I need on the fingers of one hand but thats one of them!

You had better get up here for the tanker then. It has spent its first week doing nothing and hiding from view.
However, it has finally gone out on a local sortie today - playing with a couple of "STRIX" off the Lincolnshire coast.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Elite London event at Biggin Hill this morning. Limited static display, but the change of angle did enable a reasonable log to be taken. Beautiful shot of the EP-3 Dave. I know it's not quite the same but it reminded me of siting on the Queen's Building roof back in the 60's watching the KLM Electra's coming in on 28L and 28R leaving a long trail of smoke!!! Wonderful sight.
Wonder what Sadiq would say about all that pollution if it was today!!!
Prize Plumb!! As Winston Wolfe (Harvey Keitel) would say...
Thanks for sharing the photo Dave.

Bill Hi Bill Was I standing beside you on the Queens Building in those far off days? Sorry about the quality, it was foggy, I only had an Ilford Sportsman camera, the negative has not worn well and the local chemists in Chiswick who developed my pictures were rubbish but cheap which was important where pocket money was involved. A better shot of the same aircraft (by then as N858U) I took in the store at Marana in 1980. She ended her days with the axe man at East Midlands in August 1998. Good luck with the game tomorrow.

Well it had to happen - sunshine has done replaced by low cloud and light drizzle Looks like it maybe my first nil day for about the last month. But never mind has been a good month. On the upside- off to Goodison tonight for our last home game of the season v Watford, hoping the blues sign off with a win. Has been a good season finishing in 7th place, and getting into the Europa League next season. Hoping for a better season next year. The future is bright, new ground, new owners and new sponsors. Onwards and upwards. Bob Im off to Craven Cottage tomorrow for our usual drubbing at the hands of Fulham! We have a dreadful record in the play offs. Potted the square route of nothing today despite clear skies this evening. Just missed G-EZPV flying into Gatwick. Just not my day
