Out most of the day, but this evening has provided 3 frames, EI-FZJ 738 Ryanair inbound STN and LHR departures D-ABGM 319 Eurowings and A40-DJ 330 Oman (don't recall this visiting previously). SU-GEH 738 Egyptair is in now, due out at 22.35, should go overhead.
(Edit) yes it did, 4th frame of the day.

Well the weather has changed with a vengeance- gone are the sunny skies, to be replaced by low cloud and light drizzle. Wife working again this morning and I will be dropping her off- there are couple in Manchester I need but may give it a miss and get my log books marked into my now completed AFQR 2017 etc etc. On the upside the blues won last night, albeit made hard work of it against Watford, the goalie Gomez made some excellent saves, and was the man of the match. But that's it now footie wise till next July and the Europa League. Spotting all the way now. Mick- Dave- keep the faith re Reading at the Cottagers- if it is meant to be, it will happen- that is my philosophy on football, although some teams have more luck and breaks than others. But I think if you can get past Fulham, who are the form team at the moment you can make it to the promise land, a bit like aviation in your neck of the woods. Happy Days Bob Thanks Bob,after flirting with relegation for the last three seasons,to have had the season we have had has been brilliant and you never know,we just need to keep it tight @ Craven Cottage.

Morning Fellas,
Firstly, Davebasing - brilliant photo mate, sat at LAP on many occasions with weather like that... So might well have sat next or at least close to you mate... Even in those days the old Electra's were quite a rare sight, can only think of a few Fred Olsen machines (later) and of course the very occasional Orion going into the log....
My first mass sightings of the Electra's were on my first visit to NYC in 1976 - Eastern were still flying a few around mainly out of La Guardia... Sadly I never saw any Northwest machines. Great photo mate.
Now Daveallum and Bob - it's a foolish football fan who sticks his head above the parapet and makes predictions of victory ahead of any game. Been a Fulham fan for far too many decades to know when to keep one's inner thoughts to ones self... Got to see two Fulham finals; FA Cup 1974/75 at the old Wembley verses West Ham and UEFA Europa League in Hamburg 2010 - lost both of them!!
So I can't really wish Reading good luck, but I just hope that Reading and Fulham have a great game both tonight and next Tuesday and let's just say, let the best team win...
Cheers guys and hope we all have a great weekend.
Bill

Another member suggests that this was on the schedule Dublin - Gatwick rotation. This seems much more likely.

A really good day. The pride of South London scored 4 times and saved our Premier League status. When not watching the game and the Grand Prix, I managed to make 9, 3 of them Ryanairs, EZH, EZM and EZP. Also got my final Korean A380, as HL7621 popped out of the clouds inbound LHR. YL-LCU operating for EasyJet put in an appearance outbound LGW.

A sad day, my father and grandfather both were born in Hull so it was disappointing to see them humiliated by Palace and take the drop.
Not a great day either airside, just G-JZHX 738 Jet2 and D-BEER EMB550 hit the spreadsheets. N1BB Gulf 5 was a scrape.

Afternoon Guys, Afraid to say this but absolutely nothing in the log so far today... Still hopeful of a FAB arrival, ever the optimist!!! Cheers Fellas. Bill Thought I was going to be like you, Bill, after my hoped for KC-135RT (58-0011) went into Spangdahlem instead of coming here. Then KC-10 86-0028 turned up at Lakenheath and a second example of Electra-based exotica - EP-3E 161410 - showed its face (a day late). Talk about a Smokey Joe, but lovely to see and hear.

Home (all going into FAB) F-HBIR Ce510 YU-PMK Ce560
So for a dubious day (weather wise) it turned out quite nice!!!
Cheers.

Not a day for gardening (!) so made one of my occasional visits to Luton to keep out of the way of the cleaning lady who comes every Wednesday. Made a very satisfactory 20:
4X-EHI 739 El Al A6-KAH EMB.190 B-KEY Gulf 650 CS-DOF CL.650 D-AHOS EMB.135 G-SMSM F.2000XLS N117MS GLEX N138GL Gulf 550 N228BA Gulf 280 N405QS Gulf 450 N424MP BD.350 N529DM CL.605 N652BA Gulf 650 N850MP GLEX N1415N Gulf 650 P4-GVI Gulf 650 OE-FNP C.510 OE-HCZ BD.300 VP-BLF Gulf 650 VP-CEM GLEX
A few to tie up, full biz movements should appear in a few days time on ltnmovements.blogspot.co.uk
Called in at Elstree on the way home but it was chucking it down so read mainly from the car park. Still made 11:
G-AWES, G-CDMX, G-CIPY, G-JWRN, G-LEAM, G-PIKK, G-SRTT, G-TAAT, N469WW, N907MM, N937BP

Well, my dear wife woke me up at just gone 07.00 and looked out of the window to see the NATO C-17 02 departing Lakenheath doing a sharp bank to the North in the bottom edge of the clouds. Thank you very much, that's all three seen in this stay up here.
LN F-15s back today from Israel - guessing at 15.00 onwards - need one of them, but don't if I can be bothered to leave this nice warm caravan!!!
A rumour is floating around about Lakenheath and visitors from Portugal, but I have not been able to find any more about it.
