Mainly cloudy here today so only one frame OTT, N692AA 757 on the AA120 JFK-CDG. But several newly-delivered visitors to LHR, made frames HB-JBH CS100 LX354/5, 9K-AOJ 773 KU101/2, N2333U 773 UA879 and A7-ALP 350 QR15/6. But missed TC-LOG 330 TK1971/2 and A6-APJ EY19/20.

This explains the story of the Bolivian registered Avro RJ85 seen on 26 May, low flying northbound, then looped over the Peaks and back to Cranfield maintaining low altitude all the way. I assumed it was a test flight, but it was an aborted delivery flight. Obviously precautionary as it went out again the following day, and this time I assume made it safely all the way. smiliner.com/2017/05/ecojet-adds-another-avro-rj85/

Strange one:
Currently heading south east over Warwickshire
F-JBWO Alpha Stingray
in tandem with G-NULA
What's strange is that it shows incorrectly on ADS-B as a Pilatus PC7 T7-PCS (though call sign is FJBWO). Also on Planefinder it shows up as a Sling 2 Reg 19-8120.
I can confirm from sight that is definitely F-JBWO and not the others. Pays to check things out.
Anyway, they are currently passing Lutterworth heading towards Northampton at around 1800ft.
Edit - FR24 & Radarbox both show call sign FJBWO but neither is picking up its partner G-NULA.

F-JBWO Is the Alpha that was in the tent at Popham Microlights. It is based at Damyns Hall and is due to go G- in time.

Thanks for the info Mike. Strange how radar was picking up those way off beam identifications.

It is because it is miscoding hex code and the same hex is associated with numerous miscoded frames.

Thanks Mike, it figures. Sometimes things just don't look right and it pays to dig a little deeper.

Reference T7-PCS/F-JBWO etc,I always thought that turned out to be RV9 G-CFSG from February this year if not earlier

Interesting Donut. Definitely what I saw was an Alpha not a Vans, thankfully close enough to discern the difference. Down to that Hex error mentioned by Mike I suppose, confusing though eh? Not my pic but here's the subject: www.flickr.com/photos/stingray195/34932855585/
