Graham,
Great to see you that have moved so quickly -Not sure who else is involved but you all have my thanks the last 2 days seemed pretty bleak - missed logging in and more often than not seeing what I have missed.
I am over in Maidenhead - Really a lapsed spotter but with my head still in the clouds when I can -Especially if its an interesting biz jet.

Well batted Graham. Do hope you can revive the Blackbushe History thread. Great shame if that is lost.
We should thank Tony for his past efforts.
Bob - Eastleigh - ex Hampshire Aeroplane Club/IBM Flying Club/G-BEUK driver . . .
PS I haven't studied the new format yet, but I find it tedious to plough through all the different threads. Is there a 'Recent Posts' button that allows us to see everything that is posted as it goes?
PPS Someone get Buster back. I miss his snaps . . . !!!!

Welcome to you both, Mike & Derek, great to have you here with us all. Yes, things happened quickly but we had made all the contingency plans to fire this forum up as and when needed.

I'll have a look for that button Bob, still finding my way around as well. I had started to save Peter's Blackbushe thread but it was so vast that I only got a small fraction done and safe before Tony pulled the plug. Awful to think that it's gone for good, I can't begin to imagine how Peter must be feeling.

I'm Kyle, based near Culdrose in SW Cornwall, wasn't very active on the old forum but if I find the time I'll probably contribute a bit more to this one, especially since it's layed out a lot better than the old one!

Wow, so pleased to see this has happened so quickly to fill the void. I have no idea what went on to force the closure of the old forum but it's management did always seem a little bizarre although it was an extremely valuable resource. Like others have said I feel so sorry for those, especially Peter who have put in so many hours I keeping us informed and entertained. I will of course continue to post from my trips and am delighted to see so many familiar faces are onboard already, a massive thank you to all involved, the last couple of days have seemed very strange.

Welcome to you Trevor, no one knows for sure what happened late Wed/early yesterday, one minute all was fine, next thing we know, it's history. At least we had this forum waiting in the wings so please have a good look around, the layout is a bit different but less cluttered. As you say, lots of familiar faces already on board with us and more to come I'm sure once the word gets around. We only had the email addresses of a few members of the other place so if there's anyine you know who would like to join, by all means give them the details. There's no "approval" required to join us at present, they just complete the registration and they're in.
