Evening all
Plenty of blue sky over Shropshire, total of 1 in the book, would have been 2 but a cloud managed to obscure LX-VCM southbound out of PIK
C-FMIJ B767 Cargojet AW LOT9712 e/b UM16 09:50
I have just totalled up all the frames on my databases and I require 694 for my 75,000th frame, should get that one this year, hopefully. I started in 1968 and misspent many years on the balcony at Speke & Ringway. Although I do not have logs until 1970, Grand National day at Speke 1970 being my first record.
regards

Rain was the order of the the day for the early daylight hours, but had stopped by about ten. Work on the car meant that spotting didn't commence until well after 3,but managed to add four to the months tally.

After a blank day yesterday, made a couple this evening,N5000X Gulf 5 heading ESE at FL450 and F-GRHV A319 out of LHR. Checked, need a surprisingly large number of Air France A319s, must pay more attention to them! Also a few scrapes, EI-FHN and EI-FJC of Norwegian and G-JZHC of Jet2.

That's an impressive total Graham, I have no idea what my total is. I have just read in the February 2016 LAAS News & Review that the LAAS chairman, David Seex has 160,000 frames on his database. He must have started when he was 2...;0)

I have counters for each type on my spreadsheets, linked to a separate spreadsheet which brings all the counts together. This is telling me I have 43,668 frames, including 2 made today A6-ENG 773 out of BHX and EC-MJB A320 inbound LHR. Would be a lot more if I went on spotting trips abroad, but I only do occasional spotting while on family holidays.

Those are massive totals! I must be over 94,000 now, but that includes scrapes. Started in 1981 aged 6. I can be sure up to February 2014 (88,111) but that's how far I've got typing up my logs! Got Oshkosh 2014 to go which will be a big boost!

That's an amazing total Dylan, how long has your Grandad been an enthusiast? Since 1963, when he was just 11 - he went on a school trip to Heathrow, been spotting ever since. This includes I'd say 30+ abroad spotting visits, amongst all of the fields and ports he's done over here - you know how many I visit in the summer, just times that by 53 years!!

Cloud soon set in here, then the rain. Made just one, EC-MHA A321 on the VY7842 inbound LHR from BCN ( this is normally an A320, but was an A321 last Wednesday also).
Don't have a system for counting scrapes, but must add at least 10,000 to my total.

Dylan - Grandad's collection is impressive, I started in 1950 I have never totalled these up still creating spreadsheets, so far taken 4 years and still going.
