It took me about 6 years to complete putting everything on to database & spreadsheets. I have one c/n Database entry for each frame, then record any changes, scrapes etc against the one c/n.

Disappointing day considering the mainly blue skies. Made 3, EI-FOD (at last!), M-ARKZ CL.605 and M-MRBB Lear 45 and a couple of scrapes EI-FHR of Norwegian and F-GZHF of Transavia France. No trails above FL380 so the biz were difficult to spot, most OTT are at FL410 or higher.

Graham GTF4J2M Yes, I do exactly the same. It does mean some of my spreadsheets are very large, my Boeing sheet (has all passenger jets made by the company) is around 17,500 lines long and my bizjet sheet (all makes) is over 24,000 but they still load pretty quickly.

Hi Bob,
Cup action for us tomorrow as well, home game against the "Baggies",although our league form is a bit patchy,we have played well in the cup matches so tomorrow is certainly one we could win.The weather brightened up for about an hour about 1.5 hours ago which allowed three more biz to enter the book:
Gulfstream 650 squawk 1160 any ideas please (silly sod I forgot to note the exact time) N12U Falcon 7X G-TWOP Citationjet 2

10 for me today.
Plus lots of typing up logs from 2014- got as far as Popham, May 2014. Caught up loads on the last couple of weeks, but still nearly 2 years behind!

Zz, Have lots of log books since the late eighties- good luck with the typing- at least you only have Oshkosh to do. I might start doing a proper spread sheet with the majority of my aircraft seen when I finally decide to retire. But the planes I lost when I decided just to count frames have now gone forever.
Bob, got up to 3 months before Oshkosh, but still Popham, Aeroexpo, Berlin air show, RIAT, Waddington and Farnborough air show in that time! Never bothered with spreadsheets- I just have a word document for every national register. So I write down every registration and serial, and it is of little interest if I have seen the frame before. There are a few a/c, ie 747s, 787s, Tornados, F16s and F4s where I have a count of how many frames I've seen, but my main interest is seeing as many from each country as possible.

As expected, cloud too low to see needed OH-LTP A330 on LHR departure a few minutes ago.
Off to Paphos tomorrow for 2 weeks in the sun (I hope!) Don't expect to see many aircraft of interest but will report anything out of the usual.

If Paphos is anything like as warm as mainland Greece is right now, you'll have plenty of great weather Jerry. We have friends who live close to Kalamata on the Peloponnese and they tell us it's been in the mid 20s C out there for the past two weeks

This comes from the Gatwick Aviation Society site,so all credits to them please. "" AND FINALLY It was with great sadness that I learnt this evening of the passing of Captain Eric “Winkle” Brown CBE, DSC, AFC, MA, Hon FRAes, RN at the age of 97. A great aviator, possibly the greatest ever, who during his long & varied career, mainly as a test pilot, flew more than 487 different aircraft types, a record that I am sure will never even come close to being broken. If you have not read his autobiography “Wings on my Sleeve”, then you have missed a real treat. RIP Winkle! A brief review of his career may be found at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Brown_%28pilot%29 "" And who said super heroes are a new thing... Captain Eric "Winkle" Brown has made a final departure to fly with the angels Chris
