First one in the book for February:
9H-CLG Challenger 850 (outbound Farnborough)
If the weather had been a bit kinder I would have had 4 of the new Ryanair's in the book as well.

Off the mark for the month with XA-MHA Legacy.
First regular A350 service thru UK airspace appears to be QR728 Philadelphia-Doha, seen on FR24 today (over Lancashire) and yesterday. After dark at present, but will be in daylight in summer. The westbound flight would be over the UK in the early hours of the morning.

Bit fed up with all the awful weather so I've recently booked a couple of holidays, both in Cyprus. A week in Cyprus in April and two weeks at the end of June and early July so a bit of sunshine spotting to look forward to.

Paphos not ideal for spotting, most movements UK carriers and not on a main OTT route, but hotel has free Wifi so will keep FR24 on in the hope of a few Middle Eastern overflights.

Blimey, I think it has also hit an aircraft on the ground before as well? Still on 0 for today, despite getting my hopes up with G-KARE PC12 and G-CERY SB20. Only need G-CDEB of those SB20's, which I think is based at LCY as it's operating for CityFlyer.

Enjoy anyway! Nigel

Possibly a long shot. Was down in Hayling Island for lunch today and was treated to a formation flypast of a Lynx, two Merlins and a Chinook, followed some way behind by a Wildcat. Possibly for some ceremony in Portsmouth Harbour? Anyone by any chance read them?

Possibly for some ceremony in Portsmouth Harbour? Anyone by any chance read them? I had XZ731 on at 11:40, and ZH891 flew over Southampton City Centre whilst I was there at 13:10. Sorry, didn't get either Merlins or Wildcat. (No, I wasn't bunking off for once, I was in my PE lesson!) EDIT: I had ZJ118 Merlin on at 15:15 calling as RG4, and was only at 1050ft so it may well have been your bird mate.

The exercise behind all of the mil today is 'Faraday Field' and has a NOTAM for rest of week until 12.00 Saturday. 2 771 NAS Sea Kings are deployed for it I'm told.

A couple more after dark,D-AEAA DHL's latest A300 inbound LHR which went almost overhead, and A7-ALG my first A350 on a commercial flight QR728 PHL-DOH (admittedly strobes only).
I forgot, I saw OH-LWA on LHR departure a few weeks ago!

The Qatar A350 went overhead in a clear sky, with both the trail and the frame visible from here. I don't count strobes only, but this was a clear view of the frame. Immediatey n front was A6-ECW routing BOS-DXB also trailing.
