It's weird up here too, they've been switching runways all the time and from my office window I can see some pretty horrible storm clouds to the north west and clear skies to the south east! I've just made EI-EVM, my third oldest Ryanair. I now expect there to be three new ones delivered over the weekend

A cloudy start to the day soon gave way to lovely skies, but work and local football restricted the viewings to just two, although one was a first of type for me.

Mainly cloudy here today, just 2 frames made, OY-JTR 737 Jetair early doors (hate that phrase, what have doors to do with time?) and N792AV 788 Avianca inbound LHR, think it was a first visit. All their current 787s have now visited LHR, they have one more on order N793AV due early next year.

Hi Bob,at least you are getting better weather than us on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, not even seen an aircraft since Thursday, still yesterday was ok with the Royals winning 1-0 @ Rotherham, next up away @ Arsenal on Tuesday in the EFL cup. Dave, The weather here has been up and down all week- a bit of blue followed by the odd downpour, but with the wind blowing east to west the runway changes at Manchester and I can see the majority of stuff landing- the downside is the runway also changes at LPL but not a lot has been going in there except for a couple of Biz, but could not have been bothered walking up to my op to see them. Have booked a break in Lanzarote next April so will be missing Popham- as well as the Blues at home to Chelski, but the cost was too good to turn down- as well as the hotel, which we are staying at being only a short walk to the end of the runway- so hopefully a few of the needed Binter Canarias ATR's will hit the books- as well as a few beers. I take it you will be going to the Gooners place on Tuesday- I think you may beat them- fingers crossed. The Blues luck ran out yesterday with that last minute winner for Burnley- but hey ho- it's only a game and Boiled Ham next week at Goodison may get us up and running again. Living the Dream Bob

Dave- Fancied the WEF myself on my bucket list along with Oshkosh- but having to make to with Atlanta, Vegas and New York next year, as well as a few trips around the UK. Thought you may have gone back to Fiji, as you said you loved it last time. Our trip to the States is for a guy we know renewing his marriage vows in Vegas- and a gang of us are going- of course whilst the others are sunbathing Bobby will be at the airport viewing the procession of Southwest and Biz Jet's landing. Of course a bit of negotiating with the wife has got me two days at the Renaissance at Atlanta so I can catch up on all the new Delta 737's and MD90's which they have got since my last trip. Also these tense negotiations included three days in New York. Hopefully will try to get to Teterboro during our stay. We also have a backup plan if the renewing of vows breakdown or there are mass "Cannot go" by some of the others. this is Atlanta, Orlando and New York. Blue skies here at the moment- just got my last Virgin 787 G-VCRU OTT inbound LAP with a short trail. Living the Dream Bob

GlobalBob,
Don't know if you do military, but if you are at Vegas, for heaven's sake go to Nellis AFB, just down the road - there may even be an exercise (Red Flag or Green Flag) on.
And don't miss out on the daily (civil) "Janet" flights at McCarran. These take the workers to/from the secret bases at Area 51 and Tonopah.
Cheers,
Bob

Bob Hi Bob, Yes I do Military- but lean towards Civil more- my Mil days were trips to the "Hall and Lakenheath to see F100's C133 C124's etc - I have been to Vegas Five times before and normally go to the viewing area at Sunset and view from there. Also when I do some of my trips out during the year I try to include the Mil bases and of course the Museums. Never been to Nellis although on one of my visits to Vegas there was an Operation on with KC135's etc being present and the Canadian Snowbirds were also present when I went on another occasion. Have seen the all the EG & G 737-6's "Janet" and also saw all the 737-2's before they were replaced. I'll bear Nellis in mind but the light aviation airfields may take a hit this time as well as a bit of gambling and some show's of course. Happy Days Bob

Started out with reasonable weather, and a tad windy, so the last thing I expected to see today was a Hot air balloon whizzing along on a stiff breeze heading in a westerly direction, just north of Newport....Must have made for an interesting landing...or a wet one !!! Another quiet day, with just 2 frames made, EI-FJM 738 Norwegian heading for BHX and M-SPBM CL.605 inbound FAB. LHR using 09 all day but nothing of interest, saw N780AV 788 of Avianca clearly which I had previously seen only as strobes.

Finally, after a week of cloud, cloud and even more cloud,we have some decent amounts of blue sky this morning which has enabled two to be logged:
G-JZHL B737 Jet2 EI-FTD B737 Ryanair (cleared fleet again, but have noticed on the Puget Sound website that both "TF" & "TG" have had their first flights as had Jet2's latest "HM" and BA's latest B787-9 "KP",more to look out for).

Graham,
According to the Puget Sound website,"TC" had it's first flight on 28th September but there doesn't appear to be any added info since,so I'm going to assume that it hasn't been delivered yet.
